Kind and helpfull staff, Superb service, but poor and nonquality rooms and food..

I spend the day on 31 March 2016. I went their in the morning around 8am with my waif and left around 5pm.

Actually, I don't wanted to keep my review on trip advisor since I am a food & beverage manager at a 4 star 100 rooms hotel in down south. And hotel school graduate. I keep my review as per my waif request.

When we are at the front office for check in, one girl was very nice and she recognized us with my name and she did needful very fast and tall guy who was with full black color uniform accompanied us to room and explained the room. They are very nice staff and kind.

Rooms - Central air condition. It is very poor AC rotation. Room is very hot...

Specially, I should remember this tall guy who was with full black color uniform, because he came to bus stop about 1km away from the hotel for my forgotten phone charger. Actually, He no need to do this without any benefit, other than giving extra ordinary guest service.

I gave two room service orders, so I received excellent F&B service, mainly, it is courteous service than hotel standard.

I ordered two lassi with fish & chips but I was informed as it is impossible because not in the menu. I couldn't understand, such a poor staff at the kitchen who can not make lassi and crumbed fried fish. Then I ordered burger and two fruit juices.

Again I ordered, Mixed salad and Nasigoreng. I was mad with this order.... Mixed salad with more radish which is unpleasant taste. Nasigoreng is not good even as fried rice. Nadu rice + very little quantity prawn & cuttlefish + fried egg.... and served with chicken curry. I do not know what is this nasigoreng. But chicken curry taste is amazing. Kitchen should be more improved because they should serve what guest want other than they want.

Reservation department also good. I wish you to take more reservations. but Security staff need to be improved according to hotel.

All the best... mainly improve in kitchen and food because you have a good staff.

I visited the hotel in February 2017. I have selected the half-meal variant. Breakfast was good with a poor but enough variety af meals. Everything was fresh. The second meal could be eighter lunch or dinner. This is a very friendly choice I think, this was my first experience to be able to do so. The room was clean and comfortable, staff very friendly. The beach is clean with fair big waves and beautyful sand. I never had problem with finding a beach-bed. There are nice local restaurants in the near of the hotel, please, no fear to eat at Stanley´s Hotspot e.g. I hope to come back in the future.

Food was excellent. However little slower in refilling emptied buffet dishes. Location gives a fantastic sea view. and the beach too was lovely place to take a long walk. Pool was good and staff in attendance was helpful.

As part of a tour of Sri Lanka i spent a night at the Induruwa Beach Resort and i'm glad it was only one. The building is in poor material condition, service was poor and the quality of the food wasn't great however it's excellent beachfront location helps slightly to make up for this.

During my evening meal which is served buffet style when i went up for the next course each time i returned to the table it had been completely cleared which was frustrating.

The room i was given had a great sea view and was spacious however it was very tired and in need of an upgrade and the tv reception was poor. There was also no wifi available in the rooms.

Waited to leave the hotel.

I would not even recommend my enemy to this hotel. Food was average. Room was average. Hotel was dirty. The reception staff needs to be sacked. Very rude and sarcastic. Smelly dogs were roaming within the hotel vicinity. One of it tried to bite a tourist there. Reception ignored our complaints about the safety of the children there because of the dogs.
