What People are saying

Quite a nice place.

herbie1108on 18/08/2017 03:04

My family and I stayed there for three nights and two days. It began like a nightmare when we arrived on the 12 August and check-in counter said that there was an error in the dates of our accommodations and left us wondering, for quite a while, whether she was rectifying it or not. She finally gave us the rooms then informed us that there was a security fee of $240 BBD. Sadly our travel agency did not inform us of this and coming from Trinidad, where forex is a major problem, having to pay this caused deprivation on an activity planned. There is also a $2 BBD Tourism fee for each night stay.
Anyway on the positive side, the rooms were very spacious. We were on the side where there's the view of the kids pool and the beach front, which was better from my sister's room on the third floor.
Each air-conditioned room was outfitted with a King sized bed, there's a large living room with a pull-out bed, tv and mini-fridge(which was in excellent working condition). There's another pull-out bed in a small sitting area upon entering the room.
Room sanitation was good, it was very clean, housekeeping cleaned every day and was trustworthy. The face basin, although fitted to cater for tall people, was very clean. However the shower curtain had a musky fragrance and the corridors to the rooms could be cleaner.
The food we had was well prepared and delicious. The service for meals was good, most of them were very hospitable and the wait-time wasn't too bad.
Location is good, there are lots of food places along the street,"Daddy's" had some good food. The nearby savannah is noisy when there are activities taking place there.
The beach is lovely, more on the rough side when compared to other beaches in Barbados, but it's clean and refreshing.
Generally this is a good hotel with a mostly wonderful staff.

Lots of work to do!

The hotel as a lot of work to do, they have housekeepers how will try to trick you into leaving them tips by saying they are going to turn in your dirty towels for head office to charge you! The food is filled with oil/grease and boarder line inedible. I had really high hopes for this place and it turned out to be tolerable at best. Try the Rostrevor down the road. Much better bang for your buck!

Very good

Cropover 2017

teshia2017on 14/08/2017 16:23

My friends and I stayed here for Cropover 2017. I had ran across this hotel when I visited last year and liked the location on the beach and the daily happy hour. I feel like the housekeepers did not really clean like I would expect, the floors would not be swept so sand would still be there from the day before, also if we had empty bottles that we on the counter that I would think they would have trashed they would not. We came during cropover season which means we were going to participate in the events of the season. We went to 1 event that resulted in us getting paint on us and were charged for that which is something I have never experienced. They said they handed out a paper to warn people about this but we later found out that they gave this paper out to guest that checked in August 1st, we checked in on July 31st. I liked the dj that present on Friday and most of the staff were friendly. I did not like that we had to travel to the beach side of the hotel to get ice. I am a little disappointed as I was looking forward to staying at this hotel. The gap area is my favorite, I think I would try some place else in this area.

Amazing hotel - Crop Over

This hotel is amazing!! There are two sides to the hotel one on the beach and the other on the other side of the road which is where we stayed,it is located in the middle of St Lawrence Gap and Dover Beach is a 2-5min depending on which side you stay. We really hoped to be on the beach but we were so overwhelmed we forgot to ask. Whilst we were sorting out our checking, they took our luggage to our room which was really kind of them. There is a deposit of BBD 240 (I don't remember clearly) which they use your card to do an authorisation but don't charge the card. There is another desk by the reception that can help you book excursions and activities, it was very helpful. The beach towels and sunbeds were free of charge which was awesome. Our room was perfect, it had everything we needed. It had a balcony, a sitting room area, a really good mini fridge that actually worked, microwave, TV with cable, iron etc. The customer service all around was impeccable. We truly enjoyed and loved our stay and will definitely recommend this hotel.
