What People are saying

Nice place

NEIL Kon 31/05/2017 20:01

I liked it here, it's like an old manor type house, gardens with rabbits and stuff. Flowers, funny archways etc. It's an ideal weddingy type place. It looks a bit tired in parts, but that's what happens to old stuff I suppose. The room was nice, clean and the bathroom was quite big. My only real issue was the bar area. It's so small and there is nowhere to sit really. It annoyed me as I'm a functioning alcoholic and wanted to sit at the bar for a few hours.

Lovely break

footdoc (Wales)on 28/05/2017 21:01

We stayed to celebrate a special birthday. Lovely room, polite staff, tasty food and fabulous grounds. We researched it well as we had 24 hours of child-free time available, it was 25 minutes away from home and could have been hours away. Thank you for making our time away special. We will be back.

Daughters Wedding (14/05/2017)

bobblue4everon 24/05/2017 09:49

Nice venue - average service - poor food (wedding breakfast) - nothing like the taster evening we attended 6 months earlier when booking.

Roast potatoes with everything instead of boiled (Salmon) and mash (Beef). Beef came with onion gravy already applied

Biggest problem was roast potatoes were inedible (hard as rocks).

Failed to deliver bottles of wine (prepaid) to 2 out of 9 tables plus failed to deliver soft drinks to tables for children etc.

Evening catering even worse

Breakfast next morning average at best

Weather great - nothing was allowed to spoil the day.

Hotel response - sorry!

Silver Wedding Anniversary overnight stay

Where do I start ? What a brilliant venue for any personal event, or simply a great place to stay in the area. We had booked one for their special overnight stays with 3 course dinner, bed and breakfast, and complimentary bottle of fizz in the room. ) From the time we arrived until check out the next day, every member of the staff were brilliant. Polite, attentive, cheerful and professional. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated. Both the dinner and the breakfast were first class with numerous choices at both. The grounds (about 38 acres, were both spectacular, and tranquil . Various wildlife, squirrels, rabbits, geese, and all variety of birds roamed the grounds and the woodland walks. Special mentions go to Martin in the Brasserie who came out to us on the extensive terrace with both sherry and cake, and later complimentary canapes. At dinner, their was a Happy Anniversary card from the staff on our table. Mentions also to Matthew, the events manager who was most helpful, and to whom, nothing seemed too much trouble. Also to Jennie (hope that's correct) on reception, who, like the rest of the staff, was extremely pleasant and helpful. A terrific place overall. Will defiantly be staying again, highly recommended .

10/10 visit! The hotel couldn't do more for us!

Stayed for 2 nights this weekend for friends wedding! The night before Matt the events manager came out of his way to sit with us and explain everything that was going to happen and check if there was anything worrying the bride or anything she's needed. We got to know him and he's a top guy, such a credit to the hotel, so down to earth and would do anything for us, like providing a toothbrush which we had forgot and an extra dressing gown for another guest. The day ran smoothly, again thanks for Matt. During the wedding breakfast we were served again by some lovely staff , Liv, Charlotte and Scott (I think!!!) who were watching to see when our glasses needed topping up and when plates needed clearing etc. I was so impressed with the organisation and friendliness of the staff. The two bedrooms i stayed in (one a lot bigger than the other) were both extremely clean and spacious! I can't stress enough how lovely it was been to spend the weekend at such a lovely hotel, forgot to give a mention to the stunning grounds of Inglewood, something the staff sound be so proud of. Will 100% be going back for a short break, hopefully bump into the lovely Matt! Feel gutted to have left! Thanks again to all the staff!!
