Susan Son 05/05/2017 19:41My husband found this B&B as we were planning for our semi-annual Mid-West trip to see friends and family. After reviewing their website, we booked the Aberdeen Suite and we were not disappointed. The original farm house master bedroom was part of the suite. It's on the second floor accessed by its own private staircase. There are two rooms, the fireplace sitting room and the bed chamber with a wonderful bathroom which includes a jacuzzi tub. The entry way to the inn gives way to a two story lobby...both airy and cozy at the same time. There is a solarium type room off to the side. On the other side is a beautiful room used for breakfast. Further along is the Robert Burns library room. The garden grounds and gazebo are beautiful. Breakfast was good...fresh strawberries with granola and Greek yogurt, sweet breads and an egg, potato, cheese and bacon entree. Very gracious staff. We wished we could have stayed longer than one night. We will back again in the fall!
Sumptuous breakfast, great customer service, and a nice room!
AquatenniiaTon 03/05/2017 18:06We stayed in the Dunnotar room and arrived late. Everything was just as had been described by staff! The room was the most affordable they had and it had wood floors, beautiful furnishings, and cozy linens. We accidentally left something behind and received a call about it so we could retrieve it!
The breakfast was completely sumptuous -- sweetbreads, juice, coffee, a fruit and yogurt parfait, and a creative take on french toast!! Mmmm! We'd consider staying again!
My friend got married here
atrainhansonnon 05/01/2017 12:43My friend got married on New Years here! We arrived to a beautifully decorated structure, lights gleaming through the many Christmas decorations outside and in. It was a really beautiful place and the wedding was very nice. Our rooms were a perfect size and the bathrooms were nice size too. We had a jacuzzi and stand up shower in ours. Our king bed was very comfy and we had a walk out that gave convenient access to ground level. The staff was very nice and was very accommodating. There is an area were snacks and drinks are offered and the breakfast was very good to. I would definitely stay here again.
Great Winter Stay!
Nick Lon 03/01/2017 23:12We stayed here for one evening over the winter and drove in from Chicago. The B&B was beautifully decorated, clean, and very cozy! The staff were all very polite and accommodating. Our room was also clean, quiet, and extremely comfortable! Breakfast in the dining room was very nice, and the views through the window were beautiful! Overall, we had a fantastic weekend getaway here, and I would definitely recommend!
Short stay over Thanksgiving
KevinGCITon 28/11/2016 17:56We have stayed at the Inn several times, usually at the holidays. It is quiet, cozy, and the decorations are truly lovely. Breakfast is served in the dining room and is abundant and delicious. WIFI is a bit slow but access was solid. We stayed in the Alloway Suite and ate dinner there one night with family. It worked out fine, the suite and kitchen can accommodate six for a meal with a bit of arranging (although keep in mind there is no oven -- microwave and gas stove top only).
