First, the staff was pleasant and was accommodating. Second, the hotel is in a good location. However, the hotel is in disrepair and appears to be frequented by a series of fraternities. We experienced 2 rooms and both had significant deficiencies including duct tape over the peep hole, malfunctioning tv, rust colored toilet water, and excessive caulking to hide other issues. Needless to say, we will not be back.

When we checked in we were greeted by Chris. He was awesome, helpful and friendly. That was the end of any positive experience we would have at this horrible, short staffed, run down, filthy dirty hotel. I guess you get what you pay for. Tables weren't bussed in restaurant for 2 hours. Not a clean glass in the bar. Dogs off their leashes. No bags provided to pick up dog mess, so of course, nobody did. Beds were horrible. Sweeper not run in hallways for months, yuck.

Will NEVER stay here again even if it was free!👎

Worst establishment I have ever stayed at!
Even though the room was advertised as non-smoking the room had a terrible smell.
The walls had large pieces of paint pealing off.All of the furniture had nicks and torn leather on the chairs. I walked over to adjust the AC and my socks were soaked from the saturated carpet.Without the deadbolt in place the door could be pulled open at will without turning the handle.No bedspreads on beds. What a disappointment to say the least!😡

What is Grand about the Glaize?

Nothing is grand about the Grand Glaize. I booked for two nights hoping for a nice place to spend a short get-away with my daughter and teenage grandson. The hotel's advertising is quite deceiving. We had a lake view room which did indeed have a nice view as described on their website. The rest of the advertising is pure fantasy. The restaurant was not open (not that I would have trusted the quality of food served there anyway); the pool was dirty, a long trek from the room, no poolside bar; the room was not cleaned - no fresh towels, no coffee, no emptied trashcans, no made beds; terrible sound proofing between rooms - we could hear every word said in the room next to ours; the balcony had a rotting hand rail with some wire mesh attached; the entire place was a rundown, dirty, smelly rathole that needs to be demolished. Do not waste your money!

Would not recommend. Very run down. The pool was very dirty. Staff wasn't friendly or helpful. The lobby and halls were very warm. The restaurant and bar they advertised was never open. For the price I expected more.
