Perfect location. Casual elegance. Beautiful rooms, delicious meals in all restaurants, spectacular views, cozy fires, every comfort you could need or want is here. Plenty of staff, we felt very catered to. 5:45 Bagpiper........ Heavenly.

Birthday Trip

We stayed at the Inn for my birthday. It was the best trip I've taken in years. The service was outstanding. The room was big and clean with a great view. The services they provide were wonderful. The concierge desk was able to handle any requests you might need, from golf to horseback riding to shuttle services and even a test drive in a new Lexus. I will definitely stay here again. The topper was the nightly Bagpipers that close the course down. It's amazing!

At first it was somewhat overwhelming as I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Would we be out of place with all the obvious money around us, would it be snooty and unwelcoming? To our delight it was anything but that. Simply put it was an amazing experience from the time we walked in until the time we left. Rich in culture and off course golf history along with cherished traditions. Playing of the bagpipes while the sun set was one that I won't soon forget. Having a drink in hand listening to the bagpipes being played while the waters of Carmel Bay (Pacific Ocean)crash into the shoreline is pretty special. Get a seat by the window in the restaurant and enjoy a great meal while the waves of the Pacific come crashing into the shoreline. Meals were fantastic and service was top notch. They will go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you want. I was particularly hungry one night and had requested a steak that was not on their menu, our water informed the maitre d' and he had a staff member go to one of their other establishments to get me one. Ordered it medium rare Chicago and it arrived perfectly prepared. I will save my golf experience for another post as I could go on and on describing how great of an experience that was. Make the time to experience it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.attached are some of the pictures of the area. 17 mile drive has to be experienced.

This property never disappoints. I've been fortunate enough to stay here a few times and each time I feel like the experience just keeps getting better and better. Rooms are spacious. Service is impeccable. The scenery can't be beat. If you ever have a special occasion you want to celebrate, this is place to go. It won't be cheap but the experience will also never be forgotten.

I totally enjoyed my recent stay at Spanish Bay. The ocean views are unsurpassed--the boardwalk trail from the back of the resort along the coast is amazing. Five star service and staff. Love the fireplaces in the guestrooms. The resort shuttle makes if easy to access the entire resort.
