What People are saying

Nice building, but rooms need help.

I normally love b and b's, but his one came up short. We took two rooms (shared bath for the two, but we were with family) and while the common areas were lovely, the windows in the rooms had only sheer curtains, so it was bright at daybreak. The worse offense was the old, saggy mattresses, and I mean REALLY old and saggy. Gross. The location is great, with plenty of parking, but the nasty mattresses was a deal breaker.

Like staying with a friend

I stayed here for one night when I had to go to Indy for work. Each room has its own name; I stayed in Peace. I had my own bathroom, which had a stall shower and pedestal sink. Bath products are Bath and Body Works. I had a queen bed, with a small bar that would seat 2. There really isn't much room for hanging clothes, but it wasn't an issue for me as it was just one night. Breakfast was a continental, with lots of choices of muffins and yogurts, and there was an option to have a hot meal, which was and omelette with mushrooms the day I was there. It was a very quiet room and seemed safe...I did have to lock the windows when I arrived, as they were left unlocked and it was on ground level. There is off-street parking in a small fenced in lot. From what I could see, the rooms with a shared bathroom are on opposite ends of the hall and the shared bath is large. I will definitely stay here again. It's close to downtown and reasonably priced.

Dishonest

Booked this place through Airbnb and company did not honor their listed price! Came back and tried to give a bunch of excuses including blaming the other site ( which I confirmed with the site as not being true- no glitch in system and price set. Y host). Turns out it's a busy week in the area and they are rebooking at a higher price. Guess it's better I know that before staying there!!!

Decent Stay; Beautiful Old Building

Sara Mon 02/01/2017 23:09

We stayed at the Inn at the Villa on NYE because all downtown hotels were booked. We stayed in Stanza 5 in the separate building and our friends stayed in Stanza 2 in the main building. The main building has a beautiful dining area, sitting area and bar and the butler's pantry with ice and snacks was a nice touch. Our room (stanza 5) could certainly use some updates. The carpet and window blinds were in need of replacement and there were lots of damaged areas on the wall. The room was also in need of a really good dusting! Our towels were old and ratty, although clean. The staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was good. I probably wouldn't stay here again if other options were available, but it is a beautiful building--Just needs some updates and more thorough cleaning.

Elegant clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very personable. Get so much more than a Hampton Inn!

Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and a really cool wine and coffee bar walking distance. I couldn't believe how quiet it was. I chose the least expensive room. It is on the ground floor with its own bathroom slightly down the hall which was no problem. The room was nicely decorated. In the morning after breakfast I did some work on my laptop in a beautiful and quiet sitting room. Breakfast was by a nice fireplace with a warm fire and the chef was really nice. Everything was delicious.
