Halloween Wine Tasting Trip

My wife and I were fortunate to find this beautiful inn at short notice for 5 nights recently. It is an immaculately restored early 20th century farmhouse with a recent addition. It is such a lovely home on farm property featuring a barn (where weddings are held I'm told); don't forget to feed the horses and donkey (cookies are in the kitchen). All of the rooms have property views and have 4 poster beds. The bathrooms are all remodeled and have jacuzzi tubs. The dining room has one long table that is a spacious and comfortable setting for the home cooked breakfasts which we enjoyed daily. Coffee is served outside the room at 7 for the early riser. There's a library and media room for relaxing on the second floor, and of course the living room and the porch below. The hosts Elizabeth and Jay are awesome. So helpful and friendly and provide concierge service for local attractions.
The area is achingly beautiful, particularly in the fall with the change in the leaves. The Inn is only a mile or two from Montpelier, James Madison's home; that took most of a day. Monticello took another day. The rest of the time was devoted to exploring local wineries, distilleries, and breweries, as well as a trip to Culpepper and its shops. Local restaurants were surprisingly good.
Overall, the trip exceeded expectations. Try the Skyline Drive on the way down if you can.
Great Wedding Venue

We held our wedding here in June 2017. Jay and Elizabeth were extremely helpful throughout the entire process and on the day of the wedding. The grounds were beautiful and extremely well maintained. The barn is awesome! A perfect venue for your cocktail hour. Some of our family and the wedding party stayed at the Inn, which definitely made the experience better logistically and more memorable. Awesome breakfast with many ingredients from the farm itself, too!

We cannot say enough good things about The Inn at Westwood Farm. After visiting visiting several other potential wedding venues, it was clear as soon as we stepped foot in The Inn that it was “the one.” Elizabeth and Jay were so welcoming from the moment we met and extremely accommodating during the wedding planning process ensuring our special day was just the way we wanted. From the picturesque scenery, a relaxing environment, and top-notch Innkeepers, our experience with The Inn at Westwood Farm was nothing but superb! Our only wish is that we could have extended our stay :-)
Lovely bed and breakfast with excellent hospitality

My husband and I stayed for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The B and B is impeccable and also comfortable. We stayed in room 201. It was a good size for our two night stay. The bed had cozy linens and the bathroom had a nice sized tub with jets. We had robes and slippers in the closet for our use as well. Elizabeth, one of the owners and our host for the weekend, was super helpful and accommodating. It's in a serene location convenient to many wineries and a few notable restaurants. Overall, the Inn at Westwood Farm is a wonderful getaway.
Charming and Cozy, Perfect for Weddings or Getaways

The Inn at Westwood Farm is located in the gorgeous rolling hills of Orange, Virginia and has all the charm and warmth of an old Virginia B & B. Jay and Elizabeth are such gracious hosts and cook a mean breakfast. The cozy atmosphere and beautiful scenery is perfect for a wedding, a romantic get away, or just a relaxing weekend!
