Don't visit this guesthouse!
xXxAlisonXxon 08/05/2017 20:13I'd read the reviews and thought we didn't mind as it would just be somewhere to sleep, but it was awful and scary I urge you not to stay here,
The area is so rough with a lot of gangs outside, we got dropped off outside the hotel one night (11.30pm) by our guide who told us to get right into the hotel and for my bf not to leave my side.
The safety deposit box wasn't working so we asked for a different room with one that was working but was told they were all occupied,
The hairdryer was being held together by tape and you had to hold the plug in to keep it on,
The apartments are 3 floors up and if you want to take the lift it's a tiny w man lift which is very run down and feels so unless safe,
We travel a lot and often I see reviews where people are just being picky but honestly do not stay here it's worth the extra money to stay in a better neighbourhood,
Only upsides - Luigi the owner is lovely and helpful and gave us a lot of information about the city and its close to the metro and terminal
Disappointed
Edmondson1987on 01/05/2017 08:49We stayed here for 3 nights and we were very disappointed. We didn't expect luxury but what we did get was not worth paying for. We expected somewhere clean and safe as we knew we weren't going to spend much time in the room.
The area is quite dangerous, there are gangs that hang around near the entrance on an evening and in the park opposite the entrance.
The room was not clean and the floor was covered in dust. The hairdryer was held together by tape and the wires could be seen so I did not dare use it. There was also mould on the shower door. The only house keeping that was done was the bed was made.
The only positives are that the location is within walking distance to the coliseum and places to eat.
I wouldn't recommend this guest house, mainly because of the area being unsafe but also because how dirty the room was.
Good location but dogy area!!
Stuart Aon 03/09/2016 11:47We booked to stay here for 3 nights in August. Mainly because of the excellent proximity to the station and the nice rooms.
We were greeted by welcoming and helpful staff. However, the area made us feel UNSAFE and vulnerable.
There is a beautiful park opposite but unfortunately it is full of migrants camping. This sounds harmless. However, they are large groups of men who persistently approached us, particularly my finance.
These men were also URINATING and EXCRETING in the street, going through rubbish, littering and taking DRUGS!
The area and the outside of the hotel is very rundown and covered in graffiti. Although the inside of the hotel is very nice and comfortable.
The hotel is not a conventional hotel and is made of apartments shared with other businesses. Although this did not affect our trip.
Unfortunately, for our own safety we ended our stay at InnCentral early and moved to another hotel. Consequently, loosing our money.
Until the area is cleared up and the migrants are moved, I would not recommend staying here!
Lovely staff and room but location is unnerving
Amber Aon 15/08/2016 17:05Firstly I will start with the positives. We just booked 3 nights at Inncentral. The couple that greeted us/ checked us in were lovely and couldn't be any more helpful. Our shower broke late at night and they fixed it there and then. The bathroom is modern and the room is a good size. The hotel is also very close to the station.
Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives and we felt like we had to cut the stay short and loose our money and pay to stay in a different district of Rome.
The area of the hotel terrified me! No exaggeration!
There is a large amount of graffiti (the hotel is covered in it), people urinating in the streets (creating horrible odours), a large amount of homeless migrants who beg and pester, rotting rubbish (which people were going through bins and eating) and faeces in the street.
I particularly felt unsafe when beggars approached me outside our hotel and there were people smoking marijuana in the street. (For context I am a female in my 20s).
The rooms were noisy and we were woken up by other guests and people outside shouting before 7am.
With regret we left. As mentioned before the couple that greated us were lovely and understood our reasons. They hotel is cheap so we were not expecting luxury but we did not want to feel so unsafe on our holiday!
Pictures of the area at night attached. Unfortunately, until the area is cleared up I would not recommend.
Perfect for budget minded traveller
Jenn Oon 21/07/2016 09:47My family of three stated in this inn for 4 nights. Within walking distance from the termini station or one stop on the metro. Ten minute walk to the Colusseum. Very basic with a double and single bed, large bathroom, fridge and wardrobe. Quiet and secure. There is a lift to bring you to the third floor if you don't want to do the stairs. Check in was efficient and towels and beds were made/ change once during our stay. The a/c was not too strong but it did the trick to cool us down. The wifi was ok. Great choice if all you need is a place to sleep and recharge in the day.
