Very good but no air-conditioning.
docpeaon 18/07/2017 21:11The hotel and adjoining restaurant were excellent as was breakfast in the hotel's own dining room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem was the lack of air-conditioning which would not have been so bad had the weather not been unusually hot and humid. As a result I had to sleep with the bedroom window open and there was a lot of noise (vehicles and staff talking) at times in the middle of the night.
Vinexpo Bordeaux Madness
Stolarchoson 29/06/2017 00:48I stayed in the Hotel Alton during 2017 Vinexpo and after searching around I was able to find this hotel available, I stayed here for 2 nights and I was able to get a feel and understanding of the hotel.
The receptionist was sometimes rude and did not speak English, they refused to help us book a taxi during Vinexpo. The receptionist also refused us when we asked them for a pair of scissors we needed it for the moment.
The location is not that great either, it isn't walking distance to the center nor it is conveniently located close to the exposition center of Vinexpo.
The rooms are very large but the carpets were old and needed a fresh up. The bathroom condition was new and clean. The beds were clean.
There was not air conditioning in the room however they provided fans for the guests.
I would rate this hotel average.

No air conditioning in the rooms, very slow wifi, uncomfortable rooms, bath room not cleaned up properly, unfriendly staff that even do not want to help in calling taxi or printing out some documents.. Very low value for high price. Not recommend
Rooms and Receptionist bad
fabfly2003on 07/06/2017 17:34I do sty 17 days a Month in differet hotels in the world. This is the worse ever hotel I ever stayed. They sell rooms with Kitchen. In the room it says "Kitchen kits available at reception".
If you ask for it, they will NOT give anything, as they say these rooms are old rooms, and for long therm stay. They will never give you not even a fork.
Receptionist bad education, agressive and rising voice.
Asked for a Complaint sheet, but not given. There was no chance to get one.
DISGUSTING treatment, smelly toilets.
PLEASE REFRAIN to go there. You will waste your money.

- super noisy, because of train in front of windows, even with earplugs its difficult to get sleep
- hallway looks like a 60ies cellar
- old and ugly
I do not recommend this at all
