Famiy Resort
achowon 14/07/2017 10:31Summary of my stay at ANA InterContinental Manza Beach (4 nights during end June 2017)
1. Check in - Fast and efficient. Luggage delivered to your room shortly after you checked in.
2. Valet service FOC for IHG member
3. Lack of varieties for breakfast. Every morning was the same item. Japanese restaurant for Japanese breakfast was always in a long queue. But they gave you the flexibility of having their buffet lunch if you miss the breakfast in the morning which seldom any hotel or resort do that. Thumbs up! Lunch buffet was not bad especially their signature beef hamburg.
4. Location of the resort is about 40mins drive from Naha International Airport. Easy to locate with GPS or waze. We rented a car so it was convenient for us since we have kids. Distance was not an issue because driving in Okinawa was a pleasant experience.
5. Water park - if you enter after 1pm, it will be half price. I would think that is was a good deal. You won't need to spend hours at the water park. I spent about 1 hour with my kids at the water park and they were exhausted after a while. The ninja water park was catered more kids above 12 years old. We proceeded to snokerling after water park. Mind you that the beach at the resort was rocky. You need to wear reef shoes. Water is not crystal clear but you can still have some little adventure. We were able to see some sea creatures.
We only spent 1 day at beach because we found the beach at the resort was not as nice as Maldives or Philippines.
5. Room - We got a sea facing room. The room is considered spacious for Japan standard. We added an extra bed for my daughter. The room come with 2 twin bed which is sufficient for 2 adults and 1 kid (6 years old below). Hygiene of the room is fine. They dun refill the tea bags if you did not ask them which I was surprised.
6. Swimming pool - small and nothing impress.
Overall stay was fine. If you do not plan to spend time at the beach then I would suggest you to stay at hotel locate on the mainland. You can access to Manza beach by paying a fee. The rate of Intercontinental Manza was not cheap.
Kayaking
hredhead13on 08/07/2017 11:14We inquired about kayaking at Manza beach but they were not helpful.
We walked to ANA Manza beach water sports & were helpful where we could hire kayaks to kayak around Manza beach. It is a good kayaking beach with nice reefs & plenty to see in the water.
The staff were very kind & friendly especially the young Taiwanese gentleman who's English was very good & took the time to explain the boundaries of the bay. We had a memorable time.

Nice staffs enrich vacation experiences
Ci-Wei Lon 26/06/2017 04:57ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort is located in middle of Okinawa, good location for away from crowded urban area. Most of staffs I ever met or contacted during my stay are courtesy and helpful. Valet parking staff, lounge check-in/-out staff, life-saving guards in beach area, staffs for marine activities, food and beverage manager, all provided high-quality and comfortable services for guests!
If you drive a rental car, free valet parking in 2nd floor lobby is helpful and no worry of remembering where you parked your car : )
There are western, Chinese and Japanese-style restaurants for taking care of your tastes.
The variety of marine activities are highly recommended and you can reserve them (single item or package) in hotel's resort counter in advance. You can ride the free pickup shuttle or walk to the private beach area. Don't miss the ocean park, particularly the Ninjia challenge! We enjoyed the snorkeling in coral reef (about 5 mins away the shore), on-boat fishing (about 15 mins away the shore) and ocean park within a high cost-performance package!
There are some hand-made glass & pottery experiencing shops nearby the hotel (within 5 mins by car) and a 24-hour open convenience (Lawson) right next to the main gate (10 mins walk from hotel lobby, 1 min by car, there are free parking lots in front of Lawson).
not amazing but not bad....no surprises but nothing worth remembering.
guletaon 22/06/2017 17:13stayed there for 3 nights in 05/2017. it's one of those hotels that you would stay in if you are with your family and you don't want any surprises - good or bad. the rooms were clean. the gym was very boring and sad. service was pleasant. but the outdoor pool did not open until 09:00 which was really unacceptable considering this is a resort. the beach was about a 7 minute walk from the outdoor pool. the sand was soft and the water was extremely clear. i personally won't choose this hotel if i were going with my husband alone but since i was going with my husband and my brother and sis-in-law plus my parents who are in their 70's, this was a safe choice.
