Great Hotel and Amazing Spa Facilities
Will Mon 03/07/2017 16:13We own an apartment in the Mar Menor Complex and use the hotel facilities regularly. It is always run to utmost professional standards. We have used the spa facilities many times and they are outstanding. In peak season the Hotel provides spa and Evening Meal packages at a very reasonable 60 euros per person. From 1 st July they also run a daily kids club which keeps the youngsters entertained. We have also stayed in the Hotel and the rooms are very modern and clean with excellent views. I would highly recommend.

The hotel is spotless, the staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful and the entire resort is second to none.
If you want a resort that's both relaxing but as busy as you want it to be then this is the place for you.
I strongly recommend here for that holiday in Spain away from the "Benidorm beer brave wanna-be's" and "I drop my draws for a sangria" slappers.
This is spain how we all remember and enjoy........... please never change.........

yummymummynorfolkUKon 02/07/2017 23:46So it should not disappoint , and it didn't. Great style, decor, facilities, check in staff, room cleanliness, pool side service, all excellent. We lunched in the clubhouse which was the only disappointing bit, the service was slow and the food quality below par, in comparison to everything else. We attended an event in the evening and the service and food quality there was fantastic, the breakfast was also excellent. When you book an intercontinental you have high expectations, this one does not disappoint.
Wonderful Relaxing Stay - Spa Facilities Very Nice
Caitlin Fon 02/07/2017 15:15We stayed at the Mar Menor in late June, arriving on the Monday and leaving on the Friday. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful. They let us check in and head up to our room early, where we noticed the shower was overflowing. We mentioned this to the front desk on our way down to the pool, and by the time we headed back up to our room it was dealt with. We stayed in a double duluxe room, which was a great size, with great bathroom facilities. His and hers sinks, and separate shower and whirlpool bath.
During our stay we tried all the restaurants and can recommend them all except for mizu which was very disappointing. The breakfast buffet had an excellent range of food and tea and coffees were available to be made using the machines. The nomad restaurant was also delightful.
We used the spa facilities whilst we were here, and they were very nice - great to relax in. We also had a facial and a golf massage, which my partner and I greatly enjoyed.
The hotel guests have access to the gym and indoor pool with the key card and the indoor pool was great to get out of the afternoon sun, the gym facilities are okay,
The outdoor pool was lovely, plenty of sun beds available for our entire stay no matter what time we went out. The life guard was fantastic and was always ready to help with beds and umbrellas to help us stop getting burnt!
Overall we had a fantastic time at the hotel and would highly recommend having a few days away here
A great resort hotel

However, it's in the middle of nowhere, so a car is a necessity.
The staff were all great, except at breakfast.
Breakfast is a self service affair, with a chef on duty to cook eggs etc. In our experience the few other staff members in the breakfast room ran around like headless chickens clearing tables and restocking the buffet. Both they and the chef were hard pushed to raise a smile let alone a 'Good Morning'.
On a more positive note the Front Office staff and the Housekeeping Staff were all excellent and we ate in the Italian restaurant three nights in a row as the food and staff were so good.
Beware......the vast majority of rooms in the hotel have interconnecting doors. This means that you can hear everything in the room next door....TV, conversation etc......and of course, they can hear you!
