Best Spa in the area
StefP34on 28/05/2017 17:55I can’t comment much on staying at the hotel, as I was only there for a day. I can however say that the location is unique, right next to the Documentation and bus stop for the Eagle’s Nest and is beautifully laid out and design. Staff are also very friendly and helpful.
What stood out was the spa. I have been to the Thermal pools in Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden, and the Kempinski Spa was definitely the best and worth the money. The indoor pool is a proper size so you can have a good swim rather than paddle around, the outdoor pool is beautifully located and the view from the water is just stunning. Added to that the place is serene and spacious, so it never felt as crowded as the public spas around. The steam rooms were brilliant and I can recommend especially the chill out room with the waterbeds, pure heaven. And again, extremely helpful staff and great service. So I recommend a visit, even if you don’t stay the night. It’s a fabulous spa.
Polished hotel with amazing views
Nick Con 21/05/2017 11:18Our stay at the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden was flawless.
Beautiful room, great service, great restaurant and sitting around the fire with a drink at night with live piano in the background can't be beaten.
Service from reception, restaurant and bar staff was friendly and efficient.
Do yourself a favour and make sure you put aside some time to swim in the pool. It's half indoor, half outdoor and heated to 36 degrees celsius, meaning you could swim outside on a cold (3 degree) morning and float outside with beautiful views of the snow capped alps.
Only negative for the whole experience was parking wasn't well explained and valet underground parking that we just assumed was the only option is very expensive (20 euro) for a hotel with plenty of room for parking. Apparently you can park yourself at a separate car park for much less.
Overall a great place for a shot or long stay and a perfect location to explore Obersalzberg and the Eagles Nest.

jassim son 20/05/2017 22:09It's 5 star property, very relaxing, pretty scenery close Salzburg in Austria. Excellent food with natural ingredients with fine dining and a very good service in general... it takes less than 2 hours to drive from Munich to get to this mountain property.
