A very good stay in front of the sea

This is a great value hotel and restaurant. People are nice .Hotel rooms are well equipped and very clean. Place is quiet,service is good, food is fresh and good price/quality ratio.
You have the chance to have the sea few meters from the main door which is truly convenient with small children.
Take care to call before your visit for a private parking place or take your chance for finding a free place nearby .

We booked this hotel at the last minute and were very pleasantly surprised. For a great value price the room was very contemporary with a good clean shower room ensuite. Nice a bright décor and a comfy bed, cant ask for more really. Car Park was small but we got in and for 5.95Euro per night a bargain. Breakfast at 8.85Euro was a fantastic fresh continental buffet. The hotel is right on the seafront and near some great little bars and restaurants. Berck is not as big or lively as Le Touquet, but we think the beach is nicer !! If you want a quiet relaxed weekend away this is the place for you. We will be back.

A couple of nights by the beach

Basic hotel with amenities, great location and simple room for a couple of nights, spent most of the time at the beach, so this was just a place to sleep really. Wouldn't want to book for more than 2 nights though.

Interhotel Neptune in Berk sur Mer France

The interhotel Neptune in Berk sur mer popped out on booking.com, we were looking for a stay for 2 adults and 4 children preferably in a family room.
The hotel itself is a two star french hotel with a good restaurant, but they also have studios available in a block behind the hotel.

The foto's you see on booking are from the hotel and this is seaside, but the studios are behind the hotel. The carpet is dirty upon arrival, there were old blood stains on the blankets, there was lots of hair from previous visitors on the pillows, we demanded new blankets and got them. There is no insulation that name worthy, so the rooms are very cold at night in wintertime as the heating is automatically turned off in the evening. The walls are made of wooden plyboard so very thin.
The whole building is very desolate and in no way comparable to the hotel that is shown on booking.com. To be honest we asked to get our money back and leave on the first night, but as it was after 12 pm when we arrived, that was no longer possible.
So we tried it anyway but there is nothing to do in this part of France this time of the year (NY) so we only stayed 2 nights.

We picked up a cheap deal on Eurotunnel and booked this hotel for a short break over night, ticked the boxes , basic, clean and functional, would go again but not in peak season as I think it maybe quite busy on the main road running past the front of the hotel,we had a sea view room, which was great although the wind did come in through the gaps in the windows, but we just turned the heating up! Pleasant staff that were helpful and spoke English which was great.
