We stayed here for a week on a package holiday deal, so the price for the stay was reasonable. Breakfast was the cold buffet you would expect from your average mid-range hotel. The evening meal included in our package was a bit disappointing, especially knowing how good food usually is in Italy (luckily, Torri is a 15 minute walk along the water to get some really delicious local food). However, the waiting staff during meals were always friendly and accommodating. Our room was excellent and thoroughly cleaned every day - it also had a stunning view of the lake from the balcony.
We had a couple of very negative experiences with reception staff that we're not going to let slip. I called from the room phone at 11pm to report some issues I was having with the A/C. The phone rang out twice and let a grumpy man answered it, accusing me of calling 'too much'. I tried to speak to him about the issue, but he hung up on me TWICE.
Secondly - Inghams (the travel agency) left a pack behind the front desk to be passed on to us. We heard about this from other guests a couple of days later as the desk staff failed to pass it on. When we asked, the man behind the desk said 'no', they didn't have the pack. However, I peered over the desk and saw it THERE and they only handed it over when I pointed it out. This could have potentially led to us missing a pick-up time to the airport. A few lessons in professionalism needed...
I was there 2 weeks ago , is amazing hotel with good location and amazing services!
I would like to thanks from my hart to the AMAZING Christina that served us during our meals, she always try to do her best in order to satisfied our wishes (and we are not a "easy clients" 😜) her professional, attitude make our vacation really unforgettable and no doubt that we will back again to this amazing hotel. See you soon.
Having seen some poorer reviews on this hotel we didn't know what to expect, but we couldn't fault it.
We had experienced some problems with the airport shuttle we had booked with Expedia but when we told the staff at the hotel they got on to it straight away and sorted it for us. They also went out of their way lending a travel adaptor when mine didn't work in the sockets.
Although we had booked an economy room, we were given a lovely en suite room in one of their villas with a fantastic view over the lake. Everything in the room was clean and the room was spacious and well supplied with storage space. Very comfortable beds.
We had breakfast included, which offered a very good selection, including cooked bacon and eggs, and lots of continental options. We were greeted by the superbly warm and friendly staff each morning, and their cheerfulness was infectious.
On the one wet day, we found the spa a very useful option with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and small gym area.
Pool area was very attractive, although too cool to use at time we went.
We didn't have a car and walked into town along the lake, which took about 20 minutes at a slow pace, but we didn't mind as the views were so beautiful.
The town was very unspoilt and pretty, castle and marina was lovely with a timeless elegance. We really enjoyed sitting at the cafe at the marina taking in the view and enjoying a wine and tapas.
We used the bus to visit Malcesine, a beautiful town with a maze of little cobbled streets, on the two two days we went there we used the frequent boat service to visit Limone, looked round the spectacularly located castle and went up the cable car to Mont Baldo, all well worth doing.
We had a wonderful holiday, which was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The attitude of the staff - nothing was too much effort, and their courteous and friendly service made the holiday for us. Thank you Hotel Internazionale.
Our Italian agent unfortunately messed up our booking, and instead of staying 20k away in Malcesine at the Hotel Internazionale, we were instead booked in here.
Despite being very full (with German package tours), the staff were very sympathetic to our plight, and took the trouble to assist us with whatever we required. Although this hotel was not quite what we required (it being our honeymoon, and having spent quiet a lot of money on the trip), the facilities were perfectly acceptable, and the food was - if not fine-dining - very enjoyable. It was clear that the waiting and bar staff were aware of our situation, and went out of their way to be nice - which we were very grateful for.
Our agents eventually resolved the situation the following day and we were moved to a hotel over the lake in Gardone Riviera, but we would happily return to the Internazionale again, and would like to pass on our regards to the owners and staff for making two upset honeymooners feel welcome.
i stayed in this hotel in 2009 and the hotel was not to bad. i returned to this hotel 8/82012 the hotel has gone backwards i would not recomend this hotel to anybody, the food is aweful since 2009 the food has become cheap and nasty, the air conditioning is not even working tempertures were in the thirtys, when i said it needed fans in resturant as it was always to hot i was told the window was open .some of the staff are surly, only one off the staff are same as in 2008.i love lake garda but i will not be going to this hotel again
