Beautiful hide-away on the outskirts of the amazing Kalahari desert
Ruben210174on 13/08/2017 10:16The best surprise during our Namibia trip. Beautiful lodge, excellent staff, abundance of wildlife at the local waterhole. I've never seen as many ostriches ever in my life before! An amazing last stop for our Namibia trip!
Very good but some suggestions..
global_minervaon 24/05/2017 20:50Our first impression was 'wow', with the deep red sand highlighting the row of only 8 attractive rooms, the blue of the pool and the wildlife around the water hole in front of the lodge. The location, the large well-furnished room and the great sundowner game drive were real highlights. But - a couple of suggestions for improvement. The beds should have mattress protectors: sounds like a small thing, but when I found the plastic mattress label at face level on the bed and decided to take the sheet off and flip the mattress, it wasn't pretty. And the food could be improved too - appreciate the challenge of catering in the desert, but they should at least check for dietary requirements when it's a set meal, and soup as a starter both nights, and fruit salad for dessert the second night just weren't what I'd expect from a lodge of this quality. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, but hope they note the suggestions.
Great stay
Martin Fon 21/03/2017 18:28This is a great place to stay, we were there March 2017. The staff are very friendly and you are well looked after. The food is good and wholesome but the choice is limited as they serve set menu. They have their own safari drive and is well worth doing, lots of animals to see and the ride over the red dunes is good fun. The drive in to the lodge from the gravel roads is about 6k and is deep soft sand, so a 4 x 4 is advisable as it is all over Namibia and defernatly when there has been rain. Anyone thinking of going to Namibia should do it, it's a great country with lots to see. But when there make sure you stay at Zebra lodge.
Absolute Bliss....
Karolien von 28/02/2017 09:43My girlfriends an I had a 2 night stay here the past weekend. First of all we were absolutely amazed by how stunning this place is. As Namibians, this lodge reminded us of how beautiful our country really is.
The staff were so welcoming and friendly, we felt right at home and we were quite sad to leave. The experience was unbelievable, the quad biking was my favorite of all! We had so much fun and enjoyed the safari as well.
The rooms were so neat and astonishingly beautiful, we felt like royalty. The food was top of the range Namibian style, compliments to the chef for the lovely game steak we had.
I would definitely recommend Intu Afrika Zebra Kalahari Lodge for a relaxing get-away and just to get stunned by the Kalahari's natural surroundings.
Great place
Chris Ron 06/02/2017 18:15We stayed here for one night. Very few guests as it was low season. Lovely situation by a waterhole and a sparkling, clean pool. Large rooms with air con. And private, furnished outdoor space. Very helpful staff and traditional buildings. Public rooms were of traditional design with high ceilings and thatched roof. Very quiet situation.
