One of the very good options to stay near the Kaziranga National Park

It has almost all the facilities that you can think of, such as a beautiful swimming pool with underwater lights that make it look even more awesome in the nights, a decent gym, a very cool restaurant and bar serving you a variety of delicious dishes and a lot more...

Though the Kaziranga National Park was closed due to rains, we surely had a great time at the resort and the kids also had a equally good time...

When in Kaziranga be at Iora. It is a great resort with very friendly and helpful staff, the property is huge. Rooms are clean and food is great too. There is an ethnic Assamese restaurant Bhaatbon, which is a must try.

Lack of Professional Intent

I expected the number one hotel in this region to show professional intent. They had a game room and when we wanted to use game consoles, they said some charge for 1/2 hour. When we asked for price list with details, they could not provide it. Asked to meet with manager, that did not happen even after 2 hours. The attitude of the game room attendant was bad.

All such hotels should have price list properly displayed in game room. This was not done in IORA.

I have also put a consumer complaint - with consumercomplaints India.

TripAdvisor should insist on transparent and detailed pricing of the facilities of hotels they list.

Otherwise, the facilities are okay even though it was off season. Breakfast was average. The room is okay, liveable.

A good and a well maintained resort

This resort is situated approximately a km from Kaziranga National park. Since the park is closed around this time because of rains, this resort serves as a good weekend getaway for those who live in cities and towns of Assam, Nagaland and Meghalaya.
June is a very humid month. So you can't expect a pleasant weather in the wilderness.
It has 42 standard rooms; all designed as a cottage, 4 super rooms (2 tier rooms) and 2 suites. The property is well maintained. All rooms are big and comfortable, although the balconies could have been bigger for a cottage type room.
It has a restaurant, a bar and room service. The food is delicious and the room service is quick​.
It has a spa and a swimming pool as well.
The entire resort premises is kept very clean.
Overall a very good resort.
The only negatives I noticed was that 1. The swimming pool was very dirty. Since it was a weekend trip, we were looking to spend time in the pool. If it is strictly a weekend trip and you intend to spend time at the pool, it is better one enquires in advance about condition of the pool.
2. There isn't​ any other recreations such as cycling etc.
3. The distance​ from the reception to rooms are quite long. Though there are bell boys who carry luggages but the distance is enough to tire one after a long journey. Add humidity to it and sweating doesn't help either.
4. There is a small park for kids but the games are very less.

Lunch at the Restaurant

I only went to IORA resort for lunch, the first look gives an appearance of a well maintained property ... Their restaurant had a good selection of Indian / Chinese / Continental to offer... I went for Chinese and I liked what was serve to me ...
They also have another restaurant which serves authentic Assamese food but I haven't eaten there ...
if you are visiting Kaziranga and looking for comfort accommodation then this would be your place to go based on external appearance only ...
