Delightful B & B
kmdm0627on 12/11/2017 22:10Great views! Staff friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed to a roaring fire in the great room. Clean rooms with luxuriously soft bed linens and bath towels. Small fridge in room, refilled with water and soda daily and chocolates left at bedside. Complimentary cheese and crackers offered with local beer and wine in the great room each afternoon. We enjoyed the made to order delicious breakfast each morning. We had a delightful 3 day stay at the Iris Inn....you won't be disappointed!
A Treetop Hide-a-way
frannie717on 12/11/2017 16:09First time at the Iris Inn it was a great Fall weekend getaway, beautiful and relaxing place. We stayed in a cabin and it offered all the personal comfortable amenities and feeling of being in a treetop hideaway. We vacation often, and found it to be a little pricey. That is the difference between a four and a five star rating. We were thankful to receive a wedding gift certificate that made the stay a little more affordable. The staff is welcoming and we looked forward to the homemade breakfast and wine tasting in the evening. We would recommend this B&B and hope to come back to stay in the main building.
Family Wedding Weekend
wwsladyon 30/10/2017 18:32I had booked 5 rooms in the main Inn and the cottage Deep Woods for the weekend of my son's wedding nearby.
I have 4 sisters so I had them in the main Inn, along with a room for my daughter, grand- daughter and me in the Woodland room. All the rooms were very nice! The Wildflower and Woodland are large and roomy enough for 3 people. The Deer and Bird rooms were also large, though better for 2 people. The Duck room with handicap access was perfect for my sister whim had had foot surgery 2 weeks prior to the wedding.
The Iris Inn is more than hospitable! The included breakfast has a menu of about a dozen choices. Several of us enjoyed the Buttercup omelet with butternut squash, goat cheese and carmelized onion. There were pumpkin pancakes, french toast, make-your-own omelet, etc.. on the menu also. The only disappointment was the sausage was dry, but the bacon was good. The coffee is excellent and a waitress takes your breakfast order and serves you so all food is cooked order. They even put my large family in a smaller dining room for privacy ( there were 16 of us all together!)
Many small details provide comfort in the rooms. Small refrigerators contain bottled water and sodas that are complimentary. A dish holds Lindt chocolates. Beds and chairs were comfortable and there were extra towels in the bathroom.
My son, the groom, happened to leave over $100 in cash in one of the robes provided in the rooms. Housekeeping found it prior to laundering and turned it in. The manager called him to let him know! Hard to find such honest and ethical staff these days.
I will return on my own for a quieter weekend.
Best Place for a Relaxing Getaway
dawnl188on 30/10/2017 11:25We've been to the Iris Inn and stayed in a cabin both times. It is the most relaxing place! The cabins have everything you could possibly need, and you could actually stay there without ever seeing another person--but then you'd miss breakfast, which is incredible. nothing like waking up and being surrounded by trees--it truly feels like a treehouse, but on a luxurious scale! We will go back again!
Beautiful cabin and amazing staff
nthewoods12001on 30/10/2017 02:08This place is just an absolute joy to visit. The cabins look exactly like what they advertise on the website maybe even a little better. Breakfast was great with good choices. We left this morning and we are already planning our trip for next year!!
