Very Pleasant stay, Inexpensive family oriented resort
peterrmanson 23/08/2017 20:14I booked a stay to attend a funeral of a family member so this wasn't a pleasure trip. This property is huge! They have an indoor and an outdoor pool as well as a large playground in the rear of the hotel. There was plenty of convenient parking near the rooms. There is a arcade for the kids as well as an activity room, very nice restaurant and fully equipped bar.
If you are looking for fancy, this isn't it. If you are looking for great value, stay here! The rooms could use some updating, but were clean and comfortable. The staff super friendly and very helpful.
I inadvertently made my reservation for the wrong night via hotels.com, and when I realized it, I called the hotel and Connie was able to straighten that out for me, as hotels.com, could not. I had already paid for the room and they were under no obligation to make the change...I really appreciate it!
We ate two meals(Dinner and breakfast) in the hotel restaurant, the food was good, large portions and very reasonably priced. The service was excellent both in the dining room and bar. The kids meals were very reasonably priced and the kids actually ate them!
If my travels bring me to Cape Cod again soon, I'll stay here again!
Good location and fine for the price
dklydonon 23/08/2017 18:41This motel is relatively clean (a big priority for me), pool area is great, is in a perfect location for beaches, restaurants, etc., and has a nice set up for the mini-suites - loved having a sink and mini frig. However, the rooms are dated, and shampoo/soap in bathroom not very good. The price for the rooms was absolutely affordable and absolutely did the job.
A decent option for Cape Cod
Mass Ton 21/08/2017 02:43My family and I recently spent 3 nights at the Irish Village. We normally stay at the Cape Point Hotel for our annual Cape Cod trip but decided to give the Irish Village a shot to mix things up and we had heard good things. Overall we were not all that impressed. We had 6 rooms between all of us and it was a mixed bag. Some rooms had large flat screen TVs. Some had small flat screen TVs. Some rooms had both mattresses that were the same firmness. Some rooms had one mattress that was comfortable, the other was hard as plywood. One of the rooms (which was on the second floor) had a leaking ceiling. One of the rooms has water leaking through the wall near the AC unit (the floor was wet and you could see bubbles in the wall). One room had an AC unit that did not work. Needless to say it's not the best maintained hotel.
The bar and restaurant area is probably the nicest part of the hotel The food is decent and the portions on a number of the dishes are quite small. They do not offer room service and if you want to order food to go you do not have the ability to call from your room to order your food and then go get it. You have to physically go down to the restaurant to order it. We were also told you don't have the ability to charge anything to your room (meals, drinks, etc.). The Wee Pub is cash only which is kind of annoying.
If you are staying with kids, I would avoid staying in the block of rooms closet to the restaurant as the live music can be quite loud and will go well past 10 pm and can be heard clearly in the hallways. I'd also ask for a room on the first floor as they do not have elevators to get to the second floor.
The website stated they have grills but they do not - we brought food assuming they had grills but were told once we got there they do not have any and their website needs to be updated.

Marjorie Con 13/08/2017 21:28We just left the Irish village after 3 amazing nights. We absolutely loved the new menu. Food was delicious I have to recommend the Killybegs salmon it was so good. We went with our 2 girls ages 3 and 8 and they cried leaving. They wanted to stay. The staff were so helpful and kind to the kids. The girls danced with the staff and other people staying there. Everyone seemed so happy and to be having so much fun!! Service was excellent great weekend and we will be back soon for sure.
