dlea97on 15/06/2017 02:34Great place to stay for families! Very friendly staff, great pool and scenery. My kids loved watching the train go by! They were able to reassign rooms in order to give us an extra night in our room with short notice.

michele_blunton 10/06/2017 04:02We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Iron Horse Inn located in Durango, CO. We booked this place because it was the most cost effective for us. All the other places were way too much for one night. We were worried that we might have selected a place that was cheap and would get what we paid for. From the minute that we arrived on the property we were impressed. The scenery near was beautiful and peaceful. The staff were so friendly and helpful and checked us in about 5 minutes.They showed us where our room was and explained pool hours, breakfast hours and location and where the laundry and vending machines were. When we walked into our room we had a almost a 2 bedroom town home. The bottom level was spacious with a queen bed, kitchenette, with refrigerator and microwave and table for 2. There was also a bathroom with full tub and lots of shampoos and toiletries. It was all very clean. Upstairs had another queen bed and dresser for clothing. Each level had their own tv with many great cable channels. Wifi was fast. Breakfast was a buffet style with eggs, sausage, waffles, juices, cereals, and they took into account some lactose intolerance and had lactaid, soy milk and many other types of milk.

Rode on the Steam Engine and It was Wonderful to see it go by our room
Calizona63on 04/06/2017 22:31The room was spacious and the Room was amazing. Got to see the Steam Locomotion come right by our room. Great Service Enjoyed our stay there. They were always there to assist us in anything we needed.
Charming Hotel Stay on Memorial Weekend
Ohio Son 01/06/2017 18:19Needed a room last minute during what turned out to be a busy weekend in Durango (bike race on Memorial day weekend). Reserved the last room at this hotel and was presently surprised. The 2 level room was perfect as my husband and I shared the room with a relative. The room also had a fire place (which I assume you can use during the winter months). Breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, and make your own waffles (among other choices). Although we were unable to partake, the hotel provided evening activities; the night we stayed they had s'mores by the fire and an outdoor movie (The Lego Movie). The only negative was the location as it was several miles north of town and the bike race made it difficult to go south into town.
