The perfect getaway for the whole family!
Annie Bon 22/06/2017 01:11If you have kids this hotel is perfect. I have a 2 year old and a baby of 6 months. The hotel has many spaces for the kids. The beach is long so there's plenty of room to make sand figures and play. There many pools and many space to walk. You see many birds, squirrels and iguanas. The have a kids club with activities everyday and they give you ice cream after.
This hotel is very special to me. I came here the first time at the age of 7, here I had my first contact with the ocean. So I'm very happy that my kids can enjoy it now.
The hotel is great for the whole family. My parents are over 60, my sisters between 25 and 30. And we managed to stay in a two week holiday and had the best time.
Huge resort
Daniel Pon 19/06/2017 21:07I stayed at the Irotama del Sol building. The suite was clean and spacious. The kitchen had all the elements to prepare a meal (minus the groceries, obviously). It had a balcony with a nice view to the beach. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a bathtub. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The internet reception is very good with very good speed also.
The whole suite wasn't particularly fancy, just nicely furnished.
Quiet, comfortable apartments with great pool
LizonMortonon 24/04/2017 18:26We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment in Irotama del Mar. The apartment itself was large, comfortable, dark, well air-conditioned. It was a bit pricey, but we were there during Easter week, and it was a very comfortable room for 4 people. Good cable TV and Internet.
Other positives - the big pool was great, and very close to Irotama del Mar. Check-in was relatively painless, although the parking was in a weird location.
A few negatives - The breakfast buffet was decent, but seating c. Service was slow at the pools, and most restaurants don't open until 7 which is late for families with small children. The beach isn't great, but it's typical of Colombian Atlantic beaches - they definitely could use more shade/umbrellas. There were lots of vendors on the beach but they weren't overly disruptive. The mini-market doesn't have much in the way of real food (and no alcohol) - mainly sunscreen, bug repellents, and a few basic foods.
I probably wouldn't go back unless I got a good deal -- nothing negative, I just like to explore new places.
Good place for a short stay
Eugenio Don 14/04/2017 22:55We stayed 4 days. Good experience. Accommodation is comfortable, although the beds are not too soft. Food could be a bit more international, since almost all restaurants offer Colombian traditional food, which is ok if you like that.
Stay clear of Lina!
Frank1008on 02/04/2017 22:10It was a family celebration and I had requested (and been promised) two adjacent rooms so we could really enjoy one of our grandchildren's infrequent visit. They gave use rooms 704 and 1404 -not exactly adjacent. But the worst part was the arrogant, discourteous and even aggressive "take-it-or-leave-it" attitude of the person at the reception desk. We saw that her name was Lina, she refused to give me her last name. Refused also to move us to adjacent rooms the next day, even though we found out (trhough one of the hosekeepers) that one was avaiable. Otherwise the stay was nice as always.
