A hidden Gem in Bundi
Alexandra Won 16/07/2017 08:02Lovely visit, staff were friendly and welcoming. Food good as well as drinks. Rooms comfortable, provided with air con in the hot climate as well as a fan so could cool down which was good. Only negative was that wifi was only available in the lobby.
Good hotel
Andyw26on 25/06/2017 09:18Stayed one night on an intrepid tour, enjoyable stay in a great looking hotel. Rooms were reasonable no fridge in the room but did have air conditioning we did have a guest over night we affectionally named Larry the Lizard who caused no harm or annoyance to us but added to the experience. Overall a great little unique hotel!
Family get together
vrinda son 25/05/2017 18:42Ishwari Niwas Palace is a beautiful place, the people who own the place are the most hospitable people you could ever meet.. They are the royal family of Bundi. They ooze class and elegance. The host is very soft spoken and takes great pride in regaling the history of Bundi. With him you actually relive all the past glory. The food is par excellence ,personally supervised by the lady of the house . The Lal mass at Ishwari niwas is a signature dish and once eaten here, no .other place in Rajasthan matches it and believe me iv tried Lal Maas in Udaipur and Jaipur as well, it's good but this is just mouthwatering and the best iv ever had. There is a lot to see in Bundi historically. And a visit to Bundi is incomplete if you havnt stayed at Ishwari Niwas Palace. Your made to feel so at home, like your being hosted. And it's that feeling that makes you yearn to visit again and again

Gem of a hotel with some nice touches to make your stay convenient
Jon_the_Sconeon 13/04/2017 11:36Rolled in as part of an Intrepid tour of Rajasthan. Loved the look of the hotel - really gives a sense of being an island of calm, especially after the relative chaos of the streets of Bundi.
Our room was comfortable, with a large bathroom that was great for doing some clothes washing in (though we believe the place will do laundry for you if you're prepared to pay). Would have been nice to have a fridge in it, and our only window was taken up with the AC unit (which, in fairness, we'd rather have had if we had to choose!)
A nice touch was that they asked us to order our food around 30 mins before we went up to eat - which meant we weren't sat at the table for ages waiting for food, which was great. Said food was pretty good too.
The hotel manager (who seemed not to be paid to work there but was working for a family friend) also took us out on a tour of the town including the palace, and was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour!
Once again, though WiFi in the reception only was a bit of a pain when trying to plan ahead or contact people.
All in all a great place to stay. Just a few touches to the rooms and the WiFi and this would be five stars easily.
