Dirty and bad customer service!!!

The reason why I gave this park a 2* is because of the services of the waiters, very polite and attentive, otherwise I would have given it a 1*. Front desk and duty manager, Cris Ansagay, lacks the basic customer service. She needs more training in dealing and handling customers and clients. She can't even decide by herself but claims she can!

As a duty manager you are supposed to be empowered to do simple to complex decisions that may arise. We only had a very simple request - transfer from a very dusty room, a room full of mosquitoes, to a different room of the same category. She told us that she can transfer us only for this night but tomorrow she will transfer us again to the original room assigned to us???!!! This doesn't make any sense since this is of the same room category?! We were not upgraded to a higher category so why she's going to transfer us again to that room? Her answer was idiotic, somebody will occupy the room that she gave us or lend to us the following day!! I told her, why can't you give your guests that room that we vacated??! Rooms are not pre-assigned, it is only given upon arrival or whatever is available based on the confirmed booking. Besides their occupancy is only around 20-30%! Lots of vacant rooms!

To Island Cove higher management, please hire competent persons in your resort. He/she doesn't have to be a degree holder of hotel and management (thou an advantage) but can understand logic.

Room felt dirty and dusty, has a musty smell. WIFI non existent. Towels not adequate. Service was bad and staff even worse, disinterested and not helpful. Maybe the owners should hire the right management team or close this place. Owners are only concern in their profits not the customer 's.

The property is huge. Tens of hectares.
We preferred to swim in the hotel pool as there are a lot of people in Oceania (The big pool which is open to public)
The place is good for families.
There certain areas of the room that has to be cleaned thoroughly, though. We even saw a price tag left by a previous guest under our bed.
Food is yummy! We ordered room service and it was great. We also ate at the Sangley Point all's good, too.

Excellent for Family vacation. Kid friendly hotel

Hotel staffs are very accommodating.
Excellent service! Cheers to that.

The facilities and ok, but some needs to be maintained specially the play ground area.

You can have walk and jog around the area, if you stay for 2nights its really Worth the stay.

Kid friendly hotel.

Will be back.

Typical 3 star hotel I might say.

I have no reservation but opted to call their hotline prior, I was transferred thrice before I was connected to the right person (frontdesk/reservation)

I came to the hotel greeted by welcoming staff not by the receptionist but the kuya guard who is assigned at the canopy area.

Since I do not have a reservation, check in process took a long time. But I sure hope to get a room since its weekday and called the property beforehand. Good thing they accepts all kinds of debit cards since they do not have atm facility within the hotel premises. I got the Superior Deluxe, obly difference is the size of the bed.
Poor orientation skills re breakfast inclusion (weekday they only serve set bfast and not buffet), the guy receptionist knew I was with my husband and 5 year old.

Room has a musty smell, maybe because of the AC.
Shower area/curtain also has a bad smell. Bathtub was not dried as if someone went in already to have their shower (mind you this was noticed by my 5 year old daughter)
WIFI was very very slow and not areas have wifi signal.

Food is average. We had our dinner at the Fishing village. Food is sumptuous but pricey though I dont mind paying a little extra if your getting the right taste and service that you have paid for. Awesone staff, very welcoming. Kudos to Sir Ogie.

Oceania kidde pool average, nothing spectacular.

After trying out the Oceania pool, on our way back to the room we have noticed a sign that there's a hotel pool (again, zero orientation) we took a quick dip there and really enjoyed our time here.

Since me and my husband are not feeling well, I have asked the recptionist thru phone if we can take the breakfast in our room. Lady recep has no idea if we can, still need to seek approval from Sangley point tomorrow morning. So I did call the next day, but further declined my request. Whats the difference of taking your breakfast inside the room or downstairs since I am also getting a set menu bfast?! Nevertheless we went down, and had a bland breakfast.

I chose Filipino breakfast; Tocino which is very very hard (i didnt finished my meal). Mas masarap pa yung Pampangas best sa bahay.
My husband had tapa, didn't taste it. But the eggs, since you have a choice of either sunny side or scrambled mu husband chose scrambled. But to my dismay, ano ba yan chef hindi naman mukanh scrambled. Parang hinalong itlog cut into STRIPS!

After our so-so breakfast, we headed to Aviary for a quick tour. I have to say Manong Zookeeper was very welcoming with a smile na agad on his face. May reptiles, birds, may koi pond to which he gamely invited us na kami magpakain sa koi, my daughter enjoyed it. Thank you Manong zookeeper, you are indeed a keeper.

Lastly, phoned the reception asking for late check out til 1pm since I know they will be busy coz its friday na. I bargained kahit til 1230 to which she agreed. I was surprised that our key card was deactivated before 12noon, we got back to our room at 1130 from the pool good thing one of the housekeeper is around to open the door for us. While at the shower, someone was calling, maybe the recep I dont know coz we werent able to answer it probably doing their departure call. Then I got a text message from Ericka front desk, who is reminding me that check out time is 12noon. Irritated, I answered back telling her I rqsted til 1230 and was granted;told her to double check there system first!

Overall, its an average stay for PHP3900.
