What People are saying

Word of caution

auradeuson 25/08/2017 22:17

I would caution anyone looking to stay there. Their business practices are entirely revenue focused and borderline on deceptive. This lodge has a strict 14-day cancellation policy. This is an understandable policy that is clearly disclosed. However, if you cancel a reservation, make sure you get indisputable evidence that you complied with that policy. We called and left a message cancelling our stay in advance, since the lodge outsources its reservation booking that doesn't keep evening hours (at least not in our time zone, east coast) and we couldn't get someone to answer the phone. We obviously can't prove it. Our reservation was never cancelled and we never got a refund.

We had every piece of evidence available to prove we called in advance (phone logs, advance change in our flight to prove we weren't even in the same state, etc.). The general manager would not accommodate us in any fashion. Highly disrespectful and laughed at us on the phone. I was disgusted.

I suspect that the lodge itself may not have been the most hospitable stay given the experience we had. Very disappointing.

Some of the negative reviews here make you wonder where these people normally stay. Room was clean, pleasant and had all the amenities. Bathroom was small but excellent use of space. Only real issue was the downstairs room is noisey but it is what it is. If we come back we will request either one of the suites or an upstairs room. Perfect location and incredibly friendly staff. Thanks!

A suite hotel with surprises

Visited as part of a tour group. What a pleasant surprise to walk in and find washer & dryer with detergent, kitchen, living room with fireplace, 1 1/2 baths. No restaurant on site but several in walking distance. Had a terrible time getting into their Wi-Fi. My husband never did.

Run, don't walk! Stay anyplace but here!

Overpriced would be an understatement! Front desk lady greeted us with insults about our home town after noticing our address. Basically told us we lived in a ghetto. Way to make you feel welcome right? This place is ON the main road coming into town. So if you like sleeping in the middle of a highway, this is the place for you. In serious need of an exterior pain job. And don't get me started on the interior. Great floorplan if you are the size of a gremlin. The bathroom light didn't even work! Think dark cave. This place is old and run down, yet they charged us MORE than the brand new Marriott Springwood Suites just around the corner on a quiet street! Unbelievable! Marriott is not only gorgeous and brand new, they include a free warm breakfast!

Very accommodating motel

We had a great experience at JH Lodge, so many things have been upgraded here. The pool, sauna, fire pit all nicely renovated. The location was great and close to town square, Snake River Brewery, and access to roads leading in and out of town. I was disappointed with our room, dark and in need of new carpet and paint. But, who spends a lot of time in their room? Not us, so overall this was as economic of a place to stay as I could find in Jackson.
