Lisa Hon 13/08/2017 15:04Hotel seemed fresh and new with a nicely updated Lobby. We came to Jasper to attend Strassenfest. We were greeted by friendly staff and they gave us complimentary German Beer. We are so pleased for their hospitality. The room was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back next year.
Nice Decor
kevin mon 13/08/2017 14:48Its our first time stay at SureStay Plus. This is a newer property so everything is in good condition and the entire property was clean.We enjoyed drinks at bar and morning breakfast was delicious and lots of variety more then our expectations. We recommend this hotel.
Strassenfest 2017
alohablue2017on 08/08/2017 03:40My family stayed here to visit Strassenfest 2017 in Jasper, IN. Overall it was an enjoyable experience: the rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was filling, and the location was convenient from downtown Jasper.
So why only three stars? Well there were a few things with the room, but they were relatively minor and I may have even been willing to overlook them under different circumstances.
The pool area is quite small, with the swimming pool barely bigger than the hot tub. However this in of itself is not a bad thing per se. What is bad is when there are kids running around and jumping into the pool and shouting loudly, with parental consent, despite signs forbidding such behavior. Keep in mind the pool is five feet deep at most. Now I understand there was no life guard on duty and you swim at your own risk, however someone seriously could have gotten hurt, either the kids landing improperly or if they landed on someone else.
I reported their behavior to the front desk, and was told that maintenance would be sent over there. Great, problem solved, right? Well I thought so, but was later told that while someone talked to one of the parents at the pool, the other kids there continued being loud and jumping in the pool, since their parent was apparently someone else whom was not told to control their kids. I wonder if any hotel employee told the kids themselves to stop.
Basically, this could have easily been four stars or more, had the pool area rules been more strictly enforced. Would we stay here again? Possibly, but if we are looking to swim we might need to consider alternatives.
Clean and updated
Todd Son 04/08/2017 23:32From check-in to check-out, our whole experience was a pleasure. We stayed in Jasper to visit a local theme park about 30 minutes away. It was a great decision. The staff were very friendly and always available. The rooms were clean and the furnishings were all updated. The breakfast worked out well for our family of five and grandparent. The pool and hot tub were also wonderful and clean. I highly recommend the stay, it exceeded our expectations and was a great value!
Excellent Customer Service
Leslie Fon 03/08/2017 22:24The hotel rooms were very clean and newly outfitted. We loved the comforters on the beds and that they went out of their way to make sure our rooms were adjoining...which was awesome. Staff was extremely attentive to our needs. Excellent experience. Would highly recommend!
