Weird feeling - you know when for instance your job is done well, but one small thing is ruining the whole feeling. So in my case - checked in, no problem, but in the beathroom found out used body lotion with greasy traces on it. Brought it on the reception and did not even noted any sign of frustration on the receptionist face. Just a random 'sorry' that made me think that whether they do not care at all, or i am not the first one. All the rest is fine. Also tried the restaurant dowastairs - food was fine. It was very quite (that I needed because wanted to work). Whoever wants something more lively - next door is another restaurant an it is way more crowded. Also there is a supermarket on the corner.

Lovely hotel but VERY expensive bar!

I stayed at Jelsomino for a business trip in May 2015 and was immediately taken aback by how kind and welcoming the reception staff were. I was a solo female traveller and they were so helpful and friendly that it really made all the difference.

The room itself was lovely - nicely furnished, very modern with good internet and amenities. The room service was good - a touch on the expensive side (I paid £9 for some penne arrabiatta) but was delivered relatively quickly and was fresh and delicious.

I do have to warn visitors not to use the bar, however. I was charged 2500 tenge for a pot of tea for one (the equivalent of about £8 for a pot of hot water and a teabag) which was simply outrageous. I was very unhappy about this, and told the waiter who simply shrugged and told me he didn't accept cards, using up nearly all of my spare money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There is a supermarket on the corner of the hotel building with much more reasonable prices - use this for drinks instead if you want anything aside from the complimentary water in the hotel room.

Good hotel, with very kind stuff and clean rooms. Stayed for 3 days during business trip - very compact, silent hotel. In spite of having small breakfast menu to chose from, make it up with pleasant service. Nice place to stay. However location might be disadvantage, as there is not anything nearby on walking distance.

Very helpful staff,clean rooms,rest largely inconsistent.

Have spent a week in this hotel and till now I cannot really make up mi mind how to rate it so I will just sum the experience in few bullet-points:

The reception and restaurant:
- the staff on the reception is extremely helpful,efficient and quite capable (only have some minor problems with English but nothing major) - it was the most pleasant thing I experienced during my stay
- quality of staff in the hotel restaurant is variable sometimes good sometimes bad (especially the male waiters seemed to be totally unmoved by the fact I am sitting there as the only customer with nothing to drink)
- food in the restaurant is good but not exactly cheap (around $11 for main dish)
- the waiting times for the meal also vary wildly (from acceptable 20 minutes to an hour with no information about the delay) also often you are given the whole order at once (soup and the main)
- there is wifi available but the strength of the signal depends on where you sit
- the breakfasts offer a very limited selection but the staff will try to accommodate even more unusual requests (in my case I wanted just fruits/veggies and they made it happen)

The rooms:
- it is modern and size is ok (not huge not tiny)
- there is a proper desk so you can work
- bed is large and comfortable even for tall person
- plenty of storage space
- wifi coverage is very weird (often on same place you can get anything from 1 to 4 bars) - it didn't work too well fro my phones but laptop was ok
- There is a karaoke in the building and for two nights I could clearly hear it till 6 AM so earplugs are a must
- the bathroom was the only real issue - it is very clean but on arrival there was no hot water, the next day there was only hot water (so hot it was impossible even to brush my teeth), then it magically got fixed for couple days and then broke again. anyway taking a shower can turn into quite some adventure
- the last thing about the room is that the AC control seemed to make no difference no matter what I set it to but n additional heater fixed that
- It is impossible to open windows (it is possible to open the interior one but after that there is a glass wall of the exterior of the building so no fresh air..)

In conclusion some aspect of the hotel are excellent but some are not so good and some are plain weird.

Hotel is new and OK, Left my phone charger at home and receptionist lent me their own charger. Rooms a bit small although relatively comfortable. I did not have the Wi-Fi problems that others have had. Breakfast is a bit poor. Only there for 1 night so did not really see much of the hotel
