Stay @ jheelam was a very good experience indeed. Right from finding the place with ola in the middle of night, a friendly welcome and check-in despite the odd hour check-in, it was a great start.
We were offered breakfast well before the stipulated time, healthy breakfast @ an affordable price. The coffee was better than the 1's at CCD's.😊We missed out on dinner though due to personal reasons.
The connectivity is good enough, you can get any app based cab within 10-15 minutes, city is not too far either.
Breathtaking view of beautifully maintained garden overlooking the lake provides a scenic backdrop for lots of pictures and selfies .😉
The room were well kept, spacious for 2 people, air cooler being provided, clean washrooms with 24 hour warm water facility makes u feel at home.
The checkout time was made flexible for us, that depends on booking status thou.☺️
Sir and madam indeed are very hospitable hosts providing assistance, guidance as and when needed. Thankyou ☺️

Initially I thought I would stay here for a couple of days before moving to the Courtyard by Marriott. It didn't turn out that way. I very quickly realised that I had found a place that could be better described as home rather than Hotel. The lack of noise day and night, was very relaxing compared to virtually everywhere else I had previously stayed. The seemingly remote location at the end of a road meant no lorries with their constant beeping of horns, but was also close enough to the city that an inexpensive taxi ride was not too much of an inconvenience. The beautiful gardens overlooking the lake gave often breathtaking views that couldn't be found in the city. As to your hosts no problem was too big or too small that it couldn't be immediately fixed. Admittedly there were very few problems for me and they were all very small. One of the highlights was the food. After spending so long in Hotels I was amazed at the diversity and quality of the food and at relatively low prices compared to the hotels I had previously stayed in. I would not hesitate to recommend Jheelam and this will be the only place I stay when returning to Bhopal. Thank You Mr. and Mrs.Goswami.

Cons:
1. Since it's a homestay so hard to locate, nobody knows it by name. You need to ask them 'Colonel Sahab Ka bungalow kaun sa hai'.

Pros:
1. Wonderful hospitality.
2. Beautiful and scenic area.
3. We stayed in Non AC but they provided​ cooler.
4. Nice well decorated room with geyser fitted bathroom.
5. Food was home cooked, some may find it Pricy but I must say that's the thing you shouldn't miss because that's when you can have good conversation with Brig. Goswami and Madam Goswami. Lots of stories.

Warm Stay

We had first visited this homestay while dropping our daughter to her hostel. At that point, we had no idea about the city or it's locations. It was their homely attitude and warm welcome that made us at home here in Bhopal.
Its location in the heart of Bairagarh compliments the beautiful lake that this bungalow looks over.
This house and it's hosts make your memories in Bhopal brighter.
We are still in regular contact with the Goswami's and go there every time we visit our daughter.

sometimes u need that homely touch rather than anything fancy.. yum home cooked bengali cuisine, a beautiful homely garden, view of the lake and the most loving hosts.. there is nothing that you wont like about this place
