What People are saying
Tired, and not well setup for Western customers
Todd Bon 09/08/2017 14:16Rooms were fine, but nothing special. Not really particularly close to any attraction. The other amenities of the hotel were really average. Couldn't manage to find a meal in the hotel on a Saturday night (everything was setup for group events), and no-one seemed to have enough English to direct me to a nearby restaurant. I realise that it's China, but passable English from at least someone is meant to be an expectation in nominal 4-star and above in China. I'm sure the hotel is passable for some purposes, but I won't be returning.
Very nice hotel
StriderMomon 10/04/2017 23:10The room was spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was especially nice. The food served was very good, offering Chinese and Western options. The hotel staff were very accommodating, although were not fluent in English. We needed our hosts to interpret for us.
Nanjing Hotel, old but acceptable
Uncle_Vinon 21/10/2015 04:10This hotel is actually called he Nanjing Hotel in Chinese, not JinJiang Nanjing Hotel. A bit old in design and style, guests are mostly Chinese so expect to see smokers everywhere and noisy.
breakfast is a bit chaotic and very Chinese, not suitable for foreigners unless you fancy old chinese style breakfast and sharing table with crowds.
room is comfy, get HBO!!
not too bad and can give it a try
Nice hotel for the price
bellalaoshion 15/06/2014 09:55The Jinjiang Nanjing Hotel has a really nice room for the cheap price offered. They gave us a plate of free fruit right after arrival and in general were quite helpful with advice on local tourist attractions. The only negative about this hotel is that it sits far back from the road so it was difficult for us to find. On Zhongshan bei lu, it is only labeled as the Nanjing hotel and it is a side entrance. You have to walk about 2 minutes into the gateway to find the front entrance of the hotel.
Great attention to detail and comfort
MaryTDublinon 18/08/2013 02:22I stayed in this hotel for a week in Aug 2013. My room on the 4th floor was spacious and spotlessly clean. There was an extensive range of toiletries provided apart from the usual shower gel, shampoo and conditioner - for example toothbrush, razor, hair elastic bands as well as a bathrobe and slippers. Each day 2 complimentary bottles of water, fresh fruit, snacks and an english newspaper were delivered to my room. There were tea/ coffee making facilities, wine, beer, cans of coke, chocolate, biscuits, a safe etc. The large flat screen TV had many channels. 2/3 in English. One in French too.
The other guests staying at the hotel were all Chinese. All staff were very attentive and kind though the language barrier proved complex at times. The reception area is beautiful- with waterfalls, greenery and sofas. coffee and cakes were on offer here in the afternoon. Both breakfast and dinner buffets (¥100) offered a very wide variety of foods which allowed us to try authentic Chinese cuisine while also enjoying familiar ones, too. On a few occasions, taxi drivers had difficulty finding the hotel despite showing them the card offered by the hotel with the name and address in chinese. All in all a great 4 star hotel which is deservedly one of the top ten hotels in Jiangsu province.
