Book a single room for a night rest, does the job. go to the opposite side of the road from the Lingkong Road station, take the 浦东3 bus (2元) for 4 stops. First impression isn't good, the area looks a bit deserted. The hotel are a bit out of the way, but if you just want to rest or wait for a layover it does the job. Shuttle service to the airport starts every hour from 5.20 AM.
Pros: main bargain is the price, quaint surrounding, and airport shuttle. Rooms have basic amenities. room is cleaned, no insect in the room.
Cons: rooms is apparently old and bed is springy, wall painting starts cracking, lighting on the dim side, there is some weird smell when you first enter the room, and shower is a bit awkward in the middle of the room. No breakfast and only one restaurant beside the hotel, so better bring your food beforehand. There is some convenience store beside the hotel though. English is patchy, so having command in Chinese helps.
Recommended for someone who have early departures or waiting a layover, or just need a good night sleep. Good, quite reliable wifi available in the room.

Receptionist is very terrible, she took my passport to register, but she returned it to me was just throw it on the table, she was just awake when I'm get in the hotel,but for the room is bigger than I thought ，forget about the front desk and you will get a cheaper and comfortable hotel in pudong

Choose this hotel for convenience. No staff at the airport had a clue what I was on about when I tried to enquire about a bus to the hotel, nor did any staff around the 'shuttle bus' area. Got a taxi instead. The taxi driver got lost, didn't know where the hotel was and had to make several phone calls to find it. I think you should make your bus service more known to your guests, perhaps email them in advance with instructions as to how to get the bus to the hotel. Check in was fine, staff were friendly enough although all communication was done via a translator app. Tried to enquire about the restaurant but they directed me to a little shop up the street instead which was strange. The room was dirty, nail clippings on the carpet, cigarette ash in the shower and on the toilet seat. The whole room looked like it needed a good hover and a good scrub! Windows were filthy! The bed seemed to be the only thing that was cleaned since the previous guests' stay. The next morning, shuttle bus arrived and took us to the airport which was free. There was not any luggage space in the bus and all seats were full, so a little cramped! My large heavy rucksack had to sit on my knee!

"For the price, you can't beat this. I marked cleanliness a 4 out of 5 simply because of the mold in the shower (which I am sure they have tried to address). Otherwise, the cleanliness was a "5". The location is a bit off the beaten path from the Lingkong subway station, but a 14 RMB taxi ride fixes that. Don't let the "black car" taxi driver talk you into taking you to the hotel unless you are ok with paying 2 to 3 times what you would with a metered taxi, which is easy to find near the subway station (despite appearances). The location of the hotel however is great if you have to catch a flight from the Pudong Airport. A shuttle bus will take you from the hotel to the airport in about 15 minutes. I was told the shuttle bus would cost me 10 RMB but they ended up charging nothing. Cool beans. The hotel is quiet and quaint and quite inexpensive. You get good value for the money paid. Also, there is a little convenience store and a little restaurant adjacent to the hotel."

My fiance and I spent the night here during a layover to Dalian. Its clean, has hot water, a bed, its close to the airport and is affordable. Perfect place for an overnight stay between flights. NOTE: The shuttle service is in the domestic arrivals area.
