Stayed here several times over the years and have never been disappointed. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and costs $18 Yuan if a guest and $28 Yuan if not. Free wi-fi in the rooms, clean tile floors, clean bathroom. Limited English ability at the front desk but you can make yourself understood. Across the street (Beijing Lu) from a grocery store, so you can find snacks if you want them. You can get taxis right outside the hotel and there is also a bus stop nearby. There is a 5 star hotel down the road, but this place is fine unless you are looking to pay a premium for your stay. Should fit anyone's budget. (about 185 Yuan a night for a room with a large bed, air conditioning/heating, TV and internet). Try the place the next time you are in Shi Yan and looking for a budget hotel with all the amenities.

This place is right next door to argyle grand hotel and is a great place to stay if you are on a budget or looking for a long-term stay. i stayed here for 2 weeks earlier this year. room are simple and clean. buffet in the morning is good and food from the restaurant at night is also good. they have room that face the mountain or the city. The rooms that face the mountain are a bit dark so i ended up picking one that overlooks the city and school yard. You can just look around to fnd a room you like. helpful staff. redwine store next door although only chinese brands. 25min walk from "renmen" department store which has ice skating and a cinema. next door at the argyle grand hotel they have real sashimi on the 2nd floor japanese restaurant.

a fairly inexpensive option if you happen to be in china's detroit. breakfast is available for 15RMB. it is located a bit away from the main part of town, but it has good views of the city, and all sites are easy to get to by taxi or the bus stop in front of the hotel. if you are interested in local history, the nearby city museum down the street is probably the best place to start. if you are interested in checking out Wudang Shan, buses and tickets are available down the street at the kiosk in front the city's premier five star hotel.
