I've stayed here a number of times and I find that it is acceptable given the location it's in (a still somewhat under developed part of Jiangsu province) and the price. I only have the following four complaints that I wish would be addressed by the hotel:
1. There is no instant coffee in the rooms. This is pretty standard to at least have instant nescafe, and here they do not offer that.
2. The walls are very thin. If your neighbor is noisy, you will hear it. On one occasion I had to change rooms because the person next to me was snoring so loudly. I don't know if the hotel could even respond to this issue.
3. The breakfast is bad. I have no problem with Chinese breakfast, but everything was cold, oily, and tasteless. They did not provide coffee, and the only western item they had was toast with rock hard butter packets (and no knives to spread the butter with, only chopsticks).
4. On one occasion I was given a room that had no working AC. I called them (Chinese only) and they told me the entire floor has no AC. I asked them why didn't they tell me that first, and they gave me a typical non response. Needless to say I changed rooms and had working AC, though it was an annoyance to have to unpack, pack, and unpack again. If you can speak to the front desk staff, make sure and ask if your room has AC or not.
Bottom line - If you want a budget hotel and don't care about niceties, this is an acceptable option. Bring your own coffee though.

10 minutes walk to Power Long Mall, 5 mins to lots of nice upper class restaurant, lots of cafes eateries at this building, western food, ktv pub, bar, local food, mini market etc,
Hotel is clean, hot water shower is good & strong, reception counter girls and helpful but it could be better if they could serve with a smile, there is this one lady at the reception who is very helpful, she made extra mile by helping me calling to find out what busses that goes the the Deer Farm.
And on the last day when i was checking out, she even asked me if i managed to go in the end and how was my visit. She gave me her name card and her name is Jing Sun. Employee like this would be very commendable. Cheers to her joy & pride in her work.
