Amazing hospitality in the mountains
ServalontheRoadon 13/06/2016 16:53I stayed at the hotel in the quietest time of year - in fact the night I was there I was the only guest.
The host owner was very amenable to switching me from the room they'd allocated me at the front to one at the back of the building and helped me find somewhere to eat.
My room was extremely comfortable, clean and nicely furnished with a good size en suite with bath and shower.
The breakfast was amazing. EVen though I was the only guest they laid out a full buffet with fresh and preserved fruit, cereals and yoghurt so, cold meat, cheeses, boiled eggs, bread, pastries, various teas and a fresh pot of coffee as well as some excellent home made jams.
The Jolysite team are very kind and welcoming - I would not hesitate to recommend it and would love to stay there in the ski season.

Somdreamon 09/08/2015 21:33Bad experience this weekend at this hotel where I had booked one single room for one night.There was nobody for the check-in. The room was nice, even if I could hear people walking and talking in the room above mine. When I left I brought the digicode for the main door as I was told it would be locked at 9.30pm. When I got back at 2:30am after trying to punch in the code 20 times I gave up. I tried to call the number on the door but nobody answered. Three guests arrived and also tried without success. So one member climb to her balcony on the 2nd floor and opened the door from the inside. At check-out, long waiting time again and when I explained what happened I got "sorry will let the owner know" no discount or commercial gesture such as a free breakfast
Traditional Hotel Close to ski slopes of Combloux
capsize_queenon 23/04/2015 19:01We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights just after New Year 2015. It is a very traditional hotel in a very French area of the Megeve/Combloux ski area. We found it to be very welcoming and ideally placed for access to the slopes. The bus to the Combloux ski area and a selection of shops and restaurants are available within walking distance. We parked our car in a public car park just opposite the hotel. The rooms were clean and were furnished in a typically alpine fashion. They appeared to have been recently refurbished, with modern en-suite bathrooms. The facilities are simple and there is no bar to speak of, although there was a large room downstairs where you could sit. There was good storage for ski equipment. The restaurant had recently switched to providing a buffet at a set price, with a huge choice of local Savoyade dishes. The owner and staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Overall a very good experience.
A very nice ski hotel
Ijbpon 09/03/2013 13:34The hotel is really nice, very good located in the main street of Combloux. The rooms are comfortable and cozy and the bathrooms are big and weel equipped.
I would recommend half board with no doubt, as the restaurant is amazing. Breakfast is ik but dinner is great. You can choose three courses from an broad menu, including different french specialities of great quality.
The village is very near to La princesse telecabine, which is very convenient (better than Megeve itself to get to the slopes) and you have free parking (from 6:30 pm to 8:30 am) just in front of the hotel.
Not as expected - but we weren't there for skiing so p'raps we expected more..
Elsa Pon 23/01/2013 23:24Pros: Arrived at the hotel, easy to find and good views and location. Checked in ok. The WiFi worked ok until my ipad died and i couldnt charge it...see cons.
Cons: given room 3 which seemed to be below someone who perhaps lives there. They have a dog, wooden floors and a child, all of which are noisy both at night and early in the morning. If we'd have arrived later in the afternoon, there would have been no one at reception as the bar and the reception a closed. There is NO car park as advertised and we had to use the free public car park over the road. The UK adapters don't work as France has changed thier plugs SO if you're planning a trip, buy new adapters or you won't be able the charge your phone etc.
