Great location, great hospitality
skydownkuoon 21/08/2017 08:42We stayed here for our last night in Hokkaido, and our only night in Sapporo. We chose here because of its location and we liked the hospitality of other Nikko Hotels we stayed in the past.
The hotel itself is right next to and connected to JR Sapporo Station, which makes bang in the center of Sapporo and easy to get to everywhere! The hospitality is warm and welcoming, typical of Japanese style. Check-in was a breeze and soon we were heading to our rooms. We booked the corner executive rooms, which is a bit bigger than their normal rooms. The room was very spacious.
The breakfast was very good for a big hotel like this. There are three places to choose from, and we went for the buffet at Sky J at the top of the building. The selection is very broad and the quality of the ingredients is probably the best I have seen in a buffet setting. The potatoes they use is simply amazing, so was the cream of corn soup. I also had perhaps the best bread we had for the entire trip. The only thing they missed is that the fruit selection is a bit too little. Nevertheless, we had a great meal.
If you drive by yourself, the car park can be a bit complicated to get to, you need to inform the parking attendant in the parking building that you are staying in the hotel, then he will lead you to the designated area reserved for hotel guests. It could be a bit difficult if you don't speak Japanese.
It was a great stay, we enjoyed, and looking forward to our next chance to come back to Sapporo and this hotel!
One of the Best Hotels in Sapporo, Convenient Location
De Non 18/08/2017 23:05We arrived at Chitose airport late at night. We were very tired and hungry and the hotel was connected to a mall with restaurants. We walked into a food heaven, everywhere in Japan it is food, food, and more food. Checked in the hotel really fast and the room was quite clean and comfortable, even though it was a smoking room. However, it was very clean and almost 90% as clean as a normal room. It was very impressive how they cleaned. The concierge was also very helpful.

Stunning views, warm smiles in Sapporo
lapyramideon 13/08/2017 04:43Perched directly above Sapporo station, the JR Tower Nikko hotel is a perfect base for exploring Sapporo or points further beyond. From my very comfortable room on the 28th floor, I had an amazing view taking in the mountains to the west as well as some of the cityscape to the south (including the Ferris wheel in Susukino.) While hardly luxurious, the room had everything I needed and as a nice surprise, a built-it, retractable clothes line over the tub, a real boon for someone determined to travel light. The room was kept spotless by the housekeeping staff who always managed to clean my room before noon. With a room rate including breakfast, I had my choice of the traditional Japanese restaurant, the breakfast buffet or the café. I chose to eat each morning in the beautiful Japanese restaurant on the 35th floor (what views!) and thoroughly enjoyed both the breakfast set as well as the kaisendon, a large rice bowl topped with an abundance of fresh, local seafood.
Sapporo’s streets are laid out in a grid pattern making it a very easy city to navigate. Most of the tourist sites are within easy walking distance from the hotel and those looking to stay closer to home base will find that Sapporo station is like a shopping and restaurant city all to itself.
In the end, what struck me most was the kindness I encountered from every staff member in the hotel. At all times, I was made to feel like a valued and welcomed guest. I look forward to my next opportunity to return to Sapporo and the JR Tower Nikko Hotel.
Reasonable but Luxurious
toqon 26/07/2017 14:44We stayed as honeymoon travel. Hotel person showed the night view of Sapporo and took pictures of us when we go to the room. It was a very impressive friendly service here.
And Morning buffet was also wonderful.
the most i want to recommend is the Spa which was really luxurious space and good place to spend.
