Great location
nadad2216on 04/07/2017 20:40The location is superb! The hotel gives a great view of the jungfrau mountain peak right from our room balcony. Locality is peaceful and serene. The receptionist Rita was amazing and very helpful, overall service was quite good, all staff was welcoming and polite. The only problem we faced was that the room was clean but very small and bathroom had hardly any space to stand although basic and clean. At breakfast when we asked for fresh fried eggs, the waiter refused and said it was not possible to accomodate to every guest's request differently although at that time there were total 6 people in the dining room.
Overall a good place to stay but very expensive for the price we paid as compared to other schengen states!!!
Great view and the relaxing sound of cowbells
Kip Don 01/07/2017 19:08We're so glad we stayed in Wilderswil instead of the heavy tourist hustle and bustle of Interlaken. The Jungfrau Hotel is located on a quiet lane across from a cow pasture with a stunning view of the Jungfrau ranger. Hotel was modern but room a bit tight and worn. Sign warned of the monetary perils of allowing water to accumulate on the floor next to the shower, which nonetheless had a totally inadequate shower curtain. Nice balcony, though, and countryside quiet with the exception of the distant, soothing cowbells. A quick walk to the train station easily connected us to the Alpine wonderland to the south and east.
Great stay at an awesome location
BaluKPon 20/06/2017 18:50The hotel is in Wilderswil which is around 4 KM from Interlaken. The Wilderswil railway station is quite close to the hotel, making it accessible for travellers to go to Interlaken or Jungfraujoch. The hotels in the locality provide a card which can be used for free travel in train and bus to Interlaken.
We stayed at the hotel for a night. The view from the entrance of the hotel is great. One should ask for a room with this view. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The restaurant at the hotel was also good. other than that there are not many options nearby.
Trip back home!
roland von 20/04/2017 15:56Had a wonderful time In Wilderswil , the accommodations at the hotel were great , enjoyed the daily breakfast and had the pleasure to attend my Sisters Birthday party at the Hotel.
Overall great experience and will be back .

Pra Con 28/03/2017 07:37The lady receptionist checked us in and gave us our key card. Gave us our travel pass.
Room number starts at 4xx. She even said it out loud. My friend asked if there is an elevator since she have not noticed the tiny door facing the reception area. So the lady pointed at the elev. We got on but there is no 4th floor. Only up to the 3rd. We got off on the 3rd wandering around looking for our room number. Then finally we decided to go down again and ask the receptionist. Turned out the room is in the building next to the hotel. The receptionist didnt know what she was doing. We asked where the room was then she went to her computer, did something and gave us our username and password for the wifi and told us the room is in another building. She did not even apologize for her mistake.
My precious neck pillow got lost in my room. Not sure if it was taken intentionally or by mistake but I asked a guy receptionist (who gave me an umbrella saying its a gift) and said he would check with the cleaning lady/ies (dont know how many are they) but have not heard anything back nor i think was endorsed to the next person on duty. The next day was our last day so when we checked out I asked the receptionist, who is a different guy, again, if they heard of my neck pillow. This guy does not know how to smile. Seems like he is taking his job very seriously. Unfortunately, my neck pillow and the bag that carries it is nowhere to be found. The guy said sorry though.
The hotel lobby is well maintained and clean.
Room is small but neat and cozy. The view of the mountains is a treat. The bathroom though is a challenge. There is a note saying that we will be charged CHF200 if housekeeping will have to clean wet floor. They need to do something with the bathroom floor in the shower area instead of charging customers if water runs all over the floor. One time we werent given a bathroom rug, which happens sometimes but the thing with charging CHF200 of wet floor is insane.
Other than that, our stay here was pleasant. I would come back here again if ever. Yep it is a bit pricey but everything else in this country is. Expectacular view of the mountains. You just have to deal with the smell outside because of course, you are in the country side. Its nature, its organic, its welcoming, its peaceful...
