I should have read the reviews before travelling!

The hotel is located 2 and a half hours away from the airport. My 12 year old daughter's face dropped when we arrived there. The lady at the desk was efficient and checked us in quickly. We were then told the cost for using the safe and additional cost for AIRCON. This is in the height of summer and the only air in the villa is the French door, a haven for mosquitoes. I decided not to pay for aircon and was shocked to find that the ceiling fan had been purposely dismantled! Needless to say that I promptly paid 8 euros per day,for aircon the following day.
After the first night I had bites all over my body which looked like bed.bug bites ( not mosquito bites) Those were different. The beds appeared clean, but were really hard.
There was a leak in the bathroom because there was a wet, dirty towel on the floor when we arrived.Since the room wasn't serviced the following day, I asked the cleaner to change it. She then began to clean the room daily.
I reported that the shower wasn't working properly and the handyman came in to fix the aircon instead and took the remote to the Reception desk. From then on, we had to contend with a constant, aweful burning rubber smell when the aircon was on. He fixed the shower the next day.
All inclusive included ONLY rank red and white wine on tap. It didn't even include milkshakes for my daughter. So we spent lots of money at the local supermarket.
Positives were : the weather, pool, nearby beach and local train.
Meals were basic Greek food, well cooked and void of selection. Every Breakfast included fried, boiled and egg quiche with bacon.
There wasn't any hotel entertainment so we turned in early every night.
I assume that we got the REAL GREEK experience. I hope I'm wrong and will probably give a diffferent hotel a go. We were the only English speaking visitors at he hotel, but met others in Lindos .
You get what you pay for!

We booked last minute as in 14 hours before just for a quick break before our main holiday. We booked 4 nights all inclusive as we thought it cheaper than eating out. Things looked promising when we arrived as from the outside it looks quite nice. We checked in and was told the all inclusive finishes at 9pm on everything and then you have to pay. No food at the pool bar is included and must be paid for. Air con is 8 euros per day extra. We had no towels in our room and after 2 days of chasing I managed to get some wet towels off the maid. The rooms are basic, no hot water first thing, everything is dated. The food in the restaurant is minimal, we barely ate to survive but there is a supermarket 5 minutes away that's reasonable so stocked up on fruit and crisps. Mainly Germans at the hotels but easy to get a sun bed any time of day. They do raid the buffet big time so be prepared. The beach is 2 minutes away but there is nothing around for miles. We caught the bus to Rhodes town which was 2 1/2 hours away for 7.10 euros each and we also caught the bus to Lindos for 2.80 euros each. All in all for a short break it's ok but if this was our main holiday I would of been very disappointed and upset. I didn't bring my kids here as it wouldn't be for them. For couples yes it's ok if you don't mind getting the bus to places for things to do but I wouldn't say it's good for families with kids, my kids wouldn't eat the food here. Hope this helps
A small frindly hotel located in a beautiful rural setting

Kabanari Bay Hotel is a small hotel run by a family of the owner. Every wish of a guest is carefully taken care of. There is a charming pool, in the center of a spacious patio and lawn grounds. The food is a simple Greek style. The beach is 200 m away. The hotel is located at the outskirts of Kiotari in a quiet sorrunding. Local roads are great for biking trips to the mountains with an unspoiled nature and rural inns . I have stayed in this hotel a few times and will return back next year.
Worst hotel

It was the worst hotel I've ever been on. Bad service with a surly staff who looked like they didn't like their job. The rooms were dirty and old. The aircondition cost some euro and it a very noisy and old. The bathroom smelled. The food was the worst. There was no selection of food and the food who was there were bad. We was there only for 2 days until we switched hotel, because we were dissatisfied.
To the hotel: Pull yourselves together!
It's what you make it

Wasn't a nightmare but also wasn't the best place to stay. Not much choice of food at meal times and not a good variety of drinks (no juice for kids, all fizzy) No milk at all on a few days for even tea or coffee, not impressed with that. Pool was good and beach just a 5 minute walk away. Had to pay 8 euros per day for air conditioning which was blowing warm air, the man said "well it's 12 years old, we're getting new ones next year" sorry I won't be there to see if they do! Bathroom was smelly with mould on the tiles and plasters on the vent, not good. We just made the best of what we had and were determined to have a good holiday, wouldn't return though.
