Fantastic Hotel
awabahon 21/05/2017 19:50One of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. Situated on the Cassamance river with gorgeous landscaping (flowers everywhere), a beautiful pool with unparalleled views of the sunset and sunrise over the river. We were also able to arrange a pirogue excursion for bird watching in the surrounding mangrove, which was spectacular. The room was very nice, comfortable mattress and thoughtfully hung mosquito netting, a great shower in the bathroom. Great AC. The restaurant was a bit pricy but as expected and food was fresh and tasty. We did not do the breakfast buffet. If you want to have a little luxury in Zig this is definitely the place to be. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Hotel on the river
Liudmila Kon 16/03/2017 14:23That was the nice hotel. Room was clean.
The hotel is situated near the pier, where you can take boat excursions to the National Park.
There were a lot of mosquitoes, but each bed has a mosquito net.
The restaurant was not very good, I ordered the chicken, but it was very hard.My friends were also not pleased with their dishes.
Always perfect.

If eating at the market I will not expect or pay much and would take it for what it is. Is not the case at this hotel with an impossible to remember name. It was and alway have been a pleasure. Delicious food, very nice breakfast buffet, impecable service. A germ in Africa, without getting the corporate feeling of big hotels, this is very authentic local place (hence the name). A little secret, the shrimp sandwiched not in the menu. Desserts have always been to lick your fingers, wish they will be bigger because I always want more!
Stylish and comfortable
Kerryn Mon 30/10/2016 18:23A really super hotel on the banks of the Casamance River. The rooms were clean and equipped thankfully with air conditioning. They were also well laid out with a TV, bar fridge and a desk to work on. The shower though did tend to flood the bathroom due to its design.
There are great birds around the hotel and many of the trees in the immediate vicinity held colonies of various waterbirds.
WiFi unfortunately did not work in the rooms but was available in the reception and the restaurant. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the food okay. A lovely place to stay but not being well versed in French was a real challenge, even though staff were very friendly and tried - I was very thankful for our guide.
Aesthetic beauty is all this place has
kateedidon 28/03/2016 22:15How could I possibly give 2 stars to the highest rated hotel in Zig? Disclaimer: I've been living in Senegal for 13 years, and have visited quite a few hotels/lodges/airbnbs. Basically, Kadiandoumagne offers scenery - the river, boats, fishermen, and some well-kept flowers and plants and a sweet little pool (that's better to look at than swim in). The interior and exterior building design is also simple and classy. Otherwise, the place is awful. Bad food, unhappy and slow service, the pool was consistently dirty, the shower in our room was broken, water pressure was always low, the mosquito net had holes and not one but two "doors" which means mosquitoes get in. The worst were the staff -- none of whom seemed in a good mood -- and who were always yelling to one another across hallways, balconies, the grounds. A lot of other guests were also pretty rude. If you're looking for peace, good vibes and good food - go elsewhere!
