Convenient location, Sakurajima View

The hotel is at convenient location. There is family mart, Uniqulo, book shop and supermarket nearby. It is walking distance to the lake side also. The hotel room and Onsen has Sakurajima view. It is a pity that it did not have outdoor Onsen.

Convenient location walking distance to Uniglo & Daiso

Convenient location. Sun Royal Hotel is just diagonally opposite Uniglo & Daiso. Short walk to reach. Uniglo closed at 8pm. Daiso supermarket closed at 11pm.

The room is small to squeeze in two single beds. Internet in room is unstable. Staff is helpful.

Good for short stay

The hotel is old but under good maintenance. Breakfast was delicious and with great selections. Room has a good view of the city and the volcano. There is a souvenir shop within the hotel. But a mall is just across from the street which is a better option for shopping.

Convenient hotel to everywhere

We have made a trip for the southern Kyushu this time. Flight arrived Fukuoka at around 16:30. Car rental has arranged, just over airport the other side of the airport. We started to drive down to kagoshima at around 17:30. It took about 3.5 hrs to reach the hotel. When we arrived Kagoshima, it's already 21:00. Restaurants on the Main Street were almost closed. We started to worry about our dinner. Luckily, when we reached the hotel, there was a tenpanyaki shop still open, and we have filled up our empty stomachs with the delicious Kagoshima Wagyu.

Like other traditional Japanese hotel, you can smell it age, but the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was not spacious but kept very clean and tidy. There was a onsen on the top floor which facing the Sakurajima Volcano. The view was wonderful. Breakfast has lot of variety in Japanese and western dishes.

There was a aquarium near the hotel in about 15 mins drive time. I will recommend this hotel for family to settle in.

Value for Money and Superb Service

We stayed in KAGOSHIMA SUN ROYAL HOTEL for 3 days, it's a very enjoyable experience. All staffs are very professional and helpful in all aspects. There are 2 staffs from the UK and France, if anyone will stay in this hotel you will be so lucky to see these 2 gentlemen, they are always ready to provide you with very comprehensive information about the KAGOSHIMA, particularly the best routes of sight seeing. They both are kind and loving people with extreme level of patience to help.

Special thanks to the general manager of JIMMY (RYOJI HAGIHARA) during the check-out he helped my wife to pack up a huge carton box with some strings, as he saw our original packing could burst on the way to the airport.

As for the facilities and environment, its typical Japan standard, clean and well organized. We don't mind this hotel in appearance is a little old, the spectacular volcano view, the nice staffs plus professional services already make up for this little old thing.

Don't miss the hotspring in the 13/F, absolutely beautiful!!
