Beautiful & serene!
soupiewanderluston 23/08/2017 14:57An absolutely beautiful destination with exceptional service: well-seasoned travelers will recognize the care, thoughtfulness and attention to detail that can only come from an owner & staff with genuine passion for hospitality. While not immediately beachfront like many other SL properties, this lush getaway is the perfect balance of feeling in the middle of green jungle-forest with access to beaches nearby. (Galle Fort and Vijaya beach are highly recommended)
The most noteworthy at KK is the food - authentic and deliciously freshly made Sri Lankan food that wasn't beat anywhere else on our trip. (The breakfast hoppers are a must! Be sure to order them the night before). Would stay there again in a heartbeat - in fact, need to plan a visit soon!
Simply wonderful!
Hutchreviewson 02/08/2017 09:44This was our second visit to KK and was so good we decided to extend our stay! Whilst we spent most of our 10 days relaxing and enjoying the fantastic service, food and beautiful grounds, we also ventured out on a number of trips to Galle, the coast and Udawalawe National Park. We stayed in Dubu Suite with its own massive pool which wraps around a large mango tree. It's a bit away from the hotel restaurant, bar and pool but the walk through the gardens and tea estate is lovely. The service throughout was caring and thoughtful - with every member of staff from the gardeners to the bar steward really keen to please. One night, when it was particuarly hot, they sent the hotel tuk tuk to pick us up! We also enjoyed the cooking class with the chef, the morning yoga sessions overlooking the tea plantation and regular massages in the spa. We stayed in July which is the end of the South West Monsoon and had been prepared for lots of heavy rain showers. However we saw only 10 minutes of rain the whole time we were there! We can't praise this place enough and look forward to going back. Thanks again to George and the team for looking after us so well (and keeping the monsoon at bay!).
Paradise Found
MariekesAoLon 29/06/2017 06:47This is my fifth or sixth visit to KK and one of the highlights of my annual tour to Sri Lanka. SL boasts some gorgeous boutique properties and KK is amongst the best of the best, reminiscent of old Bali in the days when you could still find utter peace, tranquility and great natural beauty. Guests love it as when we are not out on excursions, they can enjoy time in their spacious suites. Compliments all round for: George Cooper's inimitable style; the solicitous and friendly staff who ensure you want for nothing; the delightful cuisine that has a light contemporary edge; the ambience and quality of amenities that all add up to a luxury experience.
Heavenly start to holiday
HertsNeilon 16/06/2017 16:22We arrived late in the evening but were warmly welcomed. The room was fantastic and the outdoor shower was interesting. The evening meal was very high quality as was the breakfast. The gardens were beautiful.
