Truly Life Changing Experience at Kairali

I want to begin this review by expressing my utmost gratitude to EVERYONE at Kairali for the truly life changing experience they gave me during my stay there. It is hard to put into words the magic of the experience going here, so you must visit if you are reading this/looking into Kairali.

Earlier this year, I had a vision during my yoga teacher training of going to India. In that vision, I imagined a place that looked just like Kairali. So I began to Google to see what I could find in India to fulfill my quest for Ayurvedic training from the motherland of India. After weeks of searching and looking at numerous places so I could find the perfect experience, I came across Kairali and knew this was it. Its beauty, its amazing offerings of Ayurvedic treatments/yoga/meditation/fresh food/and so much more, its location in what I know understand is the magical, healing region of Kerala, its good price, and its kind service through the many emails we exchanged (forever thanks to you Mohit!) - I had to visit this place. I nearly cried when we pulled up, overcome by its beauty that looked EXACTLY like my dream.

Sivedas was so kind to pick me up at Coimbatore airport and take me on the 2 hour drive to Kairali and tell me all about the local region during our drive. What a kind man I will always be grateful to.

When you come into the Kairali gates after driving through the local village roads, you know you are somewhere incredibly special. Surrounding by lush trees/ponds/gardens at every turn, you begin to feel the magic of this very special jewel. The "resort" sits on its 60+ acre property where they grow everything there that they use - the true definition of organic and natural experience (just what I was seeking). You almost feel like you're in a quiet, serene, peaceful dream. Then you're greeted by the incredibly kind, hospitable staff in a beautiful reception with incense burning and fresh flowers floating and taken to your villa. The walk along the sweeping little paths to your room is so charming; a walk I wish I could go back and take every day as you feel so connected to our beautiful Earth and therefore so peaceful and at rest. I stayed in Villa 108 and couldn't have been happier with the quaint, simple, yet renovated surrounding. You don't need frills when you're in the beauty of nature like this but I was most comfortable with a nice bed, bathroom, and AC.

I came for the Ayurveda training and could not have been happier I did this. The syllabus looked like everything I wanted to learn, but it was such an unexpectedly rewarding training far different than what I could have imagined. If you go for this, I won't spoil the magic for you but just prepare to have a truly authentic experience which is exactly what I wanted. Dr Ashida, Dr Arathi, Sheeja, Raimia, Sindhu, Chandrika, Daewoo - these ladies at the Ayurvedic area changed my life. Their kindness, devotedness, generosity to give all their love and knowledge to me, is a gift like nothing else I have ever received. This was truly one of the most grounding experiences of my life to understand such a beautiful culture and how to life so naturally and peacefully through beautiful Ayurvedic principles. Even if you don't go for training and get treatments from here, it will change you in a very special healing way. Hand over my heart, I recommend this so deeply to anyone considering going.

I was traveling alone for 2 weeks and quite nervous about getting sick from food or water. I didn't get sick once and was so delighted with the simple yet savory diet they so lovingly prepare and give to you at each meal here. Everything is fresh grown on the grounds so it really is so fresh and delicious. Don't be scared - embrace the beauty and enjoy!

Hari and Sathish taught some of the most beautiful and gentle yoga and meditation classes I have ever done - truly authentic experiences you must try and that I'm so grateful I got to experience.

Every single person on the Kairali grounds embodies the most beautiful, hospitable spirit and they should be so proud of what they do for their guests. It is second to none I have ever experienced.

Clearly I can't say enough wonderful things about Kairali and hopefully now the title of my review adds a little more color on how Kairali can change your life. PLEASE VISIT!

Excellent but can be pricey

My only regret was that I did not have enough time to spend there to get the full effects of the Ayurvedic treatment offered. Excellent setting, excellent staff, would go back but for a minimum of 14 days.

A heaven in the wilderness

I would recommend to include this in the list of places to see before you die.
Maybe you should have your directions proper if you are arriving at night as gps signal could be a problem.
For those who want to get lost in the magical mist of natures pristine beauty this is the place.
The individual cottages give good privacy for honeymooners
The plethora of ayurvedic treats for the body and mind is unique
A great getaway for the young and old for the traveller who wants to get rejuvenated for the next

Let me begin by commending Abhilash for the fantastic facilities his family and his team has created for their clients.

Words fail to express what I felt at Kairali. From the pick up by Mr.Babu, to Mr. Bharathan's constant warm hospitality, Dr. Sravan's candid views on Ayurvedic healing to Mr. Anand's pride in his knowledge and management of the Organic gardens spread on 65 acres, to every interaction I had with the stellar team, I felt abundantly blessed.

I felt great moments of peace amidst the tranquility of this property, in spite of my hectic schedule and an injury. I believe it helped me heal faster.

My final conversation and consult with Dr. Chandrashekar, the chief consultant, was indescribably joyful. There was an such an outpouring of affection on both sides, what a gift it was.

The 24 hours I spent at Kairali, felt like I tasted life at its peaceful best. My group was thrilled to receive the sample sandalwood soaps and the organic cucumbers presented by Mr. Bharathan, the GM. One of my group members who had a rash, felt the Kairali soap was perfect for cleansing and soothing her skin.

It will be an immense pleasure to come back for more.

And my heartfelt thank you to Mr. Bharathan for finding the perfect balance of all activities that made this trip unforgettable.

Came all the way from Australia to experience the wellness program. I was not sure what to expect. But loved it! The Ambience, Staff & Service was very good. The program was well laid out and worked well with me.
