Bluff Duplex Cabin
camTexason 15/07/2017 00:34My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in Cabin 16, which I was disappointed to be assigned because the cabin had a view of the ocean but not the beach. Unlike the other bluff cabins, #15 and #16 have a view through some trees, and your view is restricted when you sit in the chair on the porch if you are short. On the plus side, since it is the last cabin and next to a wooded area it is very quiet. I ended up enjoying our stay nonetheless. We enjoyed morning and evening walks down on the beach and were fortunate to see some whales feeding in the distance right in front of our cabin. The queen bed was a little small feeling. The fireplace was welcome for the chilly nights. We ate in the restaurant both nights, and the food was delicious, if pricey.
Gorgeous, and good food, but not my favorite of the lodges
Marcella Won 13/07/2017 08:54A little torn. For the most part, given this location (beachside with absolutely gorgeous scenery), and the relatively high quality of the restaurant, which definitely exceeded my expectations for breakfast especially, this hotel is pretty pleasant. It's rustic cabin style housing, but the rooms are all large and seem relatively recently remodeled, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The other major upside of this location is the ability to cook for yourself if you want to bring in food since there is a kitchenette with some limited dishware included.
However I did think that given the price, similarly nice accommodations might be had out of the park for significantly less. The rooms were nice but not luxurious, and while I understand the desire for a rustic feel I thought it could have been slightly more luxe for the price. I know wifi is "distracting" but it is an awfully attractive amenity when cell coverage gets scarce, and would have made me even happier with my stay. Also nearly split my shin on a piece of metal hanging out from the bedframe, hidden by the skirt... Watch out with that at night!
Awesome location
Tr3kkeron 12/07/2017 04:35You can't beat the location. Without a doubt if you want peace and quiet, come here. Views are amazing and out of this world sunsets. Cabins are modern enough but also rustic to feel warm and cozy. Can't wait to come back
Nice retreat
James Mon 10/07/2017 18:09The lodge was great to stay at. My family of four opt' for one of the cabins. They were perfect. The cabin comfortably slept four of us with a nice kitchenette and table to play games at. As well there was a picnic table outside of each cabin. The restaurant onsite is ok. The food was good but the service was sloooooowwww. The mercantile onsite is great and has a little bit of everything you might need for a short stay. If you are staying for a longer period a trip to forks would be necessary for groceries. Otherwise, the views are simply amazing and the ration of wood is great for beach fires in the summer months (really for the wood stove in the cabin). All-in-all a magnificent place to stay.
Mistake
on 09/07/2017 01:01Stayed here for 2 nights and wished we were at a better place the entire time. Our room was in the main lodge above the restaurant. It was a basic room but was very dusty. We also had to kill 4 massive flies in our 2 night stay. The restaurant in lodge made us sick on our first night. I would not recommend this place.
