I have recently returned with my husband from a sunny warm and relaxing week at the Kayves Beach Hotel.
On arrival quite late in the evening we were initially concerned at the sizeof the room and with the very small shower facilities in the bathroom . My husband has mobility problems and it would have been very uncomfortable for the weeks stay. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable however , THe following morning we asked Penelope at Reception whether we could change rooms . Within the hour we were given a splendid room with a sea view and a spacious bathroom. It was very quiet and restful. The pleasant and efficient service from Penelope was exemplary and during the week all the staff we encountered were helpful and kind. Special mentions here for Angela and Kiki (who serves a great gin and tonic), their cheerful humour being much enjoyed! The ever hard working Penelope keeps the hotel ticking over 24/7 !
There is a lovely safe beach for children and as a relatively small hotel it offers some entertainment .
One area that could be improved however would be the hot food not being hot enough and only one toaster! The salads were pretty good.
All together we had a good week in warm weather. We were able to relax in the knowledge that guests were indeed the priority for Kalyves Beach Hotel. Many thanks

The location, the breakfast, the beds and the wi-fi is the good parts. The food is so bad that I can't describe it! Cold, absolutly nothing cooked fresh and the meatballs and the likes was RAW inside! Don't bother about their so called VIP Inclusive, it's a scam! We payed for it but got almost nothing of the extra, the same as everybody, no extra in the roomnand when I asked for a bottle of wine instead of the tap is was so difficult!

Great hotel right on beach with lovely friendly staff. Our room was lovely with a sea view. The food was really good as well. Handy location for the bus to Chania which is a beautiful town. We did some lovely gentle walks through the nearby olive groves.

First time at this great hotel. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Food good large variety of salads was particularly good. It was lovely to be able to go on the beach attached to the hotel only a few minutes walk from our rooms

We had a great week in a sunny Kalyves. Luckily weather was good and we enjoyed sun and sea at the end of October. Hotel has an excellent location directly on sea side. Room with sea side view was very comfortable for 3 persons. Nice balcony. Fresh local fruits and water, coffee and tea in the room. There was one problem with drying swimsuits and towels - no special place for it and probably due to autumn weather they were not drying. Free wi-fi, good connection. We used all inclusive offer. Food was really good, especially local ones, fresh orange juice in breakfast. Very kind, professional and helpfull staff in a reception. We got an information and any help we need from Penelope, Paraskevi and Michalis. Penelope helped find a car for 6 persons and advised where to find good hairdresser for kids. We travelled one day around Crete together with friends and saw many nice places: mountains, beaches, small nice villages and we feel that some day we should go to Crete again! There is one more thing why to choose stay in a Kalyves beach hotel - it is animation program! Every day 4 different gym programs and mini disco for kids. The best one is aqua aerobic and aqua zumba directly in the sea. Do not miss it! Animator Kami is real professional, friendly with patient attitude. I recommend Kalyves beach hotel for relaxing holidays.
