Great views from this hotel
Christina Hon 03/10/2016 14:27We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room however was very small although it did contain everything needed. Immaculately clean. Free wi fi was great, The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. Englebert talked us through the menu of an evening and which wines to select. The food was typical of the region and average. The breakfast was ok, a little picked over later on. The views were amazing, but the verandah was unused. This is a great little family run hotel and the staff are brilliant.
Wine and food to delight
Elizabeth Bon 12/08/2016 16:42Chose to pay extra and had an upgraded room. Spacious with balcony and wonderful views. Powerful shower and comfortable bed.
Food was excellent, especially the breakfast, where one could have all sorts of sausages as well as the usual fare. Great choice of tea.
Hotel located right at the top of the town and on the red walking route, so easy to explore the history, just follow the red footmarks. There were also another two walking routes.
The owner of the hotel is very friendly and has a superb choice of wine on offer. Really enjoyed our stay here.
No AC, good food, nice panoramic view
Tom Jon 20/07/2016 20:37We stayed for 1 night after our vacation in Italy. Weather was sunny and hotel has no AC. Food was typical local but excellent food, service was average, rather poor, with very long waiting time in the evening. Rooms very basic. Breakfast was good.
Great classic village, EV friendly

Great views, local wines, friendly people, large family room.
Lovely family run hotel
NewYorkHon 06/06/2016 07:36I stayed for three nights in June and had a lovely time. The setting on the top of the hill in breisach is wonderful. The restaurant has a panoramic view of the town and the hills and valleys. The hotel has a series of gardens at different levels with herbs and flowers. The food, both for breakfast and other meals is very good. Locally sourced, freshly made...lovely breads for breakfast. The service was super friendly and helpful with real personal touches. The rooms are simple but the beds are incredibly comfortable with firm mattresses and there is everything you need (no minibar in room) including a tablet to search information. He wifi is great throughout the hotel. There is a small sauna and also a meeting/games room which I sat and worked in. The location in the old town is perfect and you can walk anywhere. Englebert even picked me up from the station!! Highly recommended!
