Very nice boutique hotel with a fantastic view. The owners do everything to make you feel at home. Big comfortable rooms. You just jump into the see from your terrace. The view from your terrace or balcony is amazing. Nice breakfast. You can order extra's at aditional charge. From 19.00 you can drink cocktails in the bar with live piano music from Yannis, the owner.
We stayed at the Hotel kastelorizo for four nights as part of an island hopping holiday in September. We were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. The owners Voula and Yianni were extremely helpful and were always to hand if you needed them. The location was spot on, right beside the harbour and with swimming available from the harbour side, what could be better. The rooms were well laid out with plenty of little touches to help you relax in comfort. The breakfast was excellent with a choice of seemingly everything from eggs and bacon right through to full continental, you could even have a choice of soft, medium or hard boiled eggs, wonderful. An excellent small hotel we would recommend to everyone.
Our stay at this hotel will go down as the most memorable one throughout our European adventure.
Professionalism was paramount...but moreover the "family" attitude as well. We were there only about 3 hours and we'd made friends with fellow travellers (some Aussie) and the staff.
Nothing was a problem.
Clean rooms... perfect amenities... wonderful breakfast.
Each evening the proprietor Yannis played the piano ... it was simply beautiful and very classy.
Voula and Yannis ever professional. Thank you both.
I spent a week at Kastelorizo at the Hotel Kastellorizo. The weather was strange, sometimes very sunny, sometimes heavy rains. Soon nice, with a combined living room/study.. I felt like Leonard Cohen on Hydra, really enjoying my room, cooking in the small pentry or walking the short distance down to the harbour for dinner.
Thank you to Voula and Yannis for a wonderful stay in your charming hotel. Clean, simple, comfortable and perfectly located right on the waterfront of Megisti harbour. It was our first stay but the fact that every other guest had been coming for years is testament to the excellence of Hotel Kastellorizo. After 6 nights, I can see why; we were welcomed as if we were family and nothing was too much trouble.
Kastellorizo is truly idyllic; long swims in the harbour accompanied by resident turtles, majestic views of Turkey on the horizon and stunningly fresh fish at every single restaurant on the harbour front.
See you next year!
