It's Noisy and It Stinks

Loud traffic noise funnels right up the hill all night.

Room smells of cigarette smoke so strongly I could taste it on my tongue.

Train goes by about 2:30 AM with much honking and roaring.

Strange permanent tenants at the far end of the building. All of their cars have loud (Very!) loud mufflers and they go in and out all night,

In 35 years of travelling up and down I-75 this is the worst motel I've ever stayed in.

You'll do better if you sleep in the car.

Stopped here for the night. First time in about 15 years. Walked into the office and was greeted by a wonderful Curry smell. Checked in with a very pleasant gentleman, cost $49.00 + $10 for our dog. Asked him if he gave AARP discount and he replied that $49 already included all discounts. We both chuckled. Went to our room, it was a smoking room, heavy smoking. Guess I could of asked for non smoking but didn't. The room was very dated, clean on the surface but could really use a deep cleaning. Turned the room upside down looking for bed bugs but found none. The mattresses on the bed looked quite old, like from the '50's. maybe collectible. The door was racked and not as easy to open and close as most. This place is good cheap sleep for hunters, cavers, or over road drivers. There was a microwave and little refridge that I wouldn't want to use unless I had cleaning supplies and pliers to adjust the temp of the refridge. The old tube TV worked OK. If you're stopping for the evening with your family on the way to FL. this might not be your place. There was a swimming pool around back that hadn't been used in years and was full of black muck. There's a Mexican Restaurant about 50 feet across the parking lot that's quite good. The rooms around back have a nice view.

For the money great stay. Check in went great. Rooms were clean, out dated but who cares. As long as the room was in great condition I was happy. Very quiet. Would definitely stay again. Close to freeway and retro Valley. Cost e as $5o dollars.

From the moment I walked into the office and was greeted by cheerful colors, a laughing Buddha, and a gentleman with a big smile, I was pleased with my choice.
Kastle Inn is an older establishment, so don't expect a new HD TV, but do expect freshly painted, clean rooms, comfortable accommodations, and plenty of hot water!

Worst customer service ever!

Let me just start off saying I never leave reviews and when reading reviews I always think ppl are way to picky, we travel a lot and I am always happy with places I stay from a 2 star and up. This place takes the cake, please please read. We arrived at 10pm after driving 14 hrs from Florida, we had pre booked this motel. After check in we entered are room and the heat was off completely, it was about -25 outside and we could see are breath inside the room, but being extremely tired we cranked the heat and thought it would heat up quick, so in the meantime we started looking around, beds had plastic on them (very noisy for sleeping) and sheets had burn holes and random hairs all over, pillows were rock hard, but still we stayed, I tried to wash my face, no hot water! So we thought, let's just try and get some sleep, we went to bed in are clothes and winter coats, after two hours of freezing out of frustration we decided heck with it, we just had enough and wanted to leave. So we packed the car, it's now 12:30, so we ring the doorbell, lobby is locked, and owner comes out, does not even allow my husband to come inside out of the freezing cold, he motions us to a window with a talking hole, we r freezing, we explain the situation and that we want a refund, he offers us another room, we decline cause we figure all vacant rooms probably have the heat turned off and we don't want to start all over again, so the owner threw his hands in the air and just left, we are still standing outside in the cold shocked that he just left us and refused to talk with us in the warmth, we rang the doorbell several times and he never came back, and due to freezing we just left without a refund. We had 10 more hrs of driving ahead of us. I have never dealt with customer service like this before, unbelievable!!!!!
