Noisy and awful breakfast

Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner, for the 2 nights was $350 which was overpriced considering what we were given.
The motel was noisy, on the second night a car alarm in the car park directly outside our room continually went off until 2.30am. As their reception closes I think by 11pm there was no staff to rectify this and no signage on the reception door for someone to call in case of an emergency...I was ready to call the police or a tow truck because I was furious. I knocked on several doors to find the owner of the vehicle but to no avail.
The "buffet breakfast" was disgusting. Eggs watery, bacon undercooked, hash browns and sausages were cold and stale. I had cereal on both morning as that was the only item I found edible.
Only positive was the location as its very convenient, but not worth it considering the negative.
A tourist town

As tourist towns go it’s not too bad. Plenty of food choices, parking is easy, plenty of places to stay. It’s easy to see the three sisters and to walk down the giant staircase. Options of cable car or the steepest railway, and of course the ‘trolley’ bus, which is a simple bus.
Basic but nice

This is the second time I’ve reviewed this hotel but thought it to have gotten better with age the staff were very friendly especially Lizzy the breakfast cook she is a real gem the room although only basic is very comfortable with the bed unreal to sleep on they even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine we stayed in the spa room (21). For the price this motel is unbeatable 8/10 good work guys

Stopped off in Katoomba on our way back to Sydney from Bathurst in order to do a tour to Jenolan Caves, picked Katoomba Town Centre Motel on price and location. Walked from the train station as we had time before our tour departed - felt like a long way!, downhill though so OK so long as your luggage has wheels! Upstairs room overlooking a service lane/small street - large spacious room, however carpet was worn through in places and the decor in general quite tired. Small toilet/shower room - good counter space though. Had trouble with temperature fluctuations in the shower too. Our stay included breakfast - quaint breakfast room in the heritage part of the motel with an awesome friendly lady overseeing the area, sorry I can't remember her name, she was lovely. Great selection of foods, very satisfying. Overall, motel is in an excellent location with a supermarket opposite, nice and quiet, friendly staff, perfectly adequate for our two night stay.
