Weirdly Wonderful

OK, it's two K out and quite a walk but then what is there in the centre anyway? Astana is linked by Uber taxis if you are a foreigner, one block gives you blisters. So, for the hotel? Rooms are sensibly sized, very clean and very comfortable. The bar is brilliant and the bar lady sings, the pool is superb if a little warm bordering on a bath! All the staff are fabulous and the chicken noodle soup, costs $1.50, is to die for. Great gym, great juccuzzi and well located for local atmosphere if not the big buildings, I am glad I chose it. Thank you guys.

Very nice hotel- a bit out of the centre

The downside first- the hotel is not in the centre of Astana but a housing area- so you will probably need transport to wherever you are going.
The rooms are very spacious indeed. Very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. TV choices and wifi both good.
The breakfast had a fairly good choice- but as with most in the aarea not much in the way of fruit.
I was told the spa was good but didnt try it.
Dont bother with the packed lunch it was cold burger and chips.

Great hotel in quiet location

The hotel is located quite far from the city center and in a quiet street which makes it a good location for these who seek silence. The food is good, the service is great and English speaking. Rooms are big with great facilities. Staff was welcoming. The SPA was really nice as well with a pool (window to the bar) , sauna and a jakuzzi

Some good some bad but good value

This is not the best hotel and not in the best area but it is good value and some small changes could make a big difference.

Firstly the positives:

Lovely decorated rooms
Nice gym and pool
Great price
Ok breakfast

The negatives:

Some staff are great others really need customer service training!! They are just plain miserable and have a bad attitude. I think some of this may come from not being able to speak good English and some cultural but this needs to improve

When I arrived I had two large towels, two hand towels and two flannels. This reduced by the day until on the last day I only had one bath towel!!

One tiny toilet role

The air con does not work and showers constantly go from hot to cold (happened in mine and two colleagues rooms)

Tea and coffee facilities would be nice or at least a kettle!!

One colleague had an empty mini bar

Very nice experience over a three night stay clean and quiet rooms with good though not super breakfast
Has a nice location quite near to Hazrat sultan mosque, Independence square and museum
Money exchange, pharmacy and supermarket are close by and one can have food in nearby restaurants Sahil and Turan
Staff is very cordial and helpful
Really enjoyable stay
