What People are saying

Excellent food and lovely location

Organised73on 27/05/2016 02:29

I stayed here with a boyfriend about 8 years or so ago. It was brilliant. We only stayed one night but it was amazing as the food was delicious with the company, wonderful. Really peaceful and clean accommodation. I would definitely stay here again one day and I am glad it is still operating. (I said we travelled in June 15 but it was the earliest date I could go back!)

A fabulous hideaway in the bush

We stayed here for three nights in December and were made to feel really at home by Robert and Jenny. Superb accommodation with breakfast delivered to our door each morning, shared with a semi-tame wallaby who fed from our hands. We had one evening meal cooked by Robert and it was tasty and memorable. They are a well travelled couple and make really interesting hosts. As a keen birder, I found the wildlife around Kemeys really fascinating and sat for hours just looking out of the windows. A great place to escape to.

WINDING DOWN

Absolutely fabulous. Only three apartments which are much more like cottages attached to the main house - so private. Sitting Room with wood burning stove//dining and small kitchen. Large bedroom and great bathroom. Robert is the best chef ever and would wipe out anyone else on Masterchef. Food and presentation superb. Jenny is his wife and both do everything possible to make anyones stay fantastic. They tend to make it difficult to leave!! We had a candlelit dinner served in our suite and we give it 11 out of 10!! Next morning a hamper appeared at our door as if by magic. Inside: Fresh fruit salad/yoghurt. honey from their bees. homemade jams - three types. Wholegrain bread and butter. Half an hour later a knock on the door and the most fabulous cooked breakfast. Best bacon I have ever tasted and the actual presentation a sight for sore eyes. Before we left we were also given a jar of their fabulous honey. Cannot wait to return. Oh I forget we had a huge verandah overlooking the tennis courts and the woodland beyond. A perfect stay with perfect lovely hosts. Big thank you Robert and Jenny. We will be back asap!!

Perfect rural escapism

Kemeys is an absolute delight.

We are used to living in a city apartment. This was the ultimate tranquil breath of fresh air. Situated way off the beaten track, you will feel a million miles from the city surrounded by serene nature. We felt so removed from the bustle, and were enjoying such sound sleeps that we took the Monday off work on a whim and stayed an extra night.

Jenny and Robert were the perfect hosts, welcoming, friendly and attentive. We ate breakfast and dinner there every day and the food was excellent - quality produce, cooked perfectly whilst presented as if at a top restaurant.

Would thoroughly recommend and hope to return.

I Keep coming back!

Ive been visiting Kemeys for several years now and can't stop going back! The surrounds are absolutely beautiful and the best escape from the city you could wish for. You can even get up close to wild wallabies and see the baby joeys as they emerge from the pouch - as i had the pleasure of last time i stayed. The suites, i've stayed in all of them ;), are gorgeous and generous in size. So comfortable and with huge comfy beds, fabulous spa baths and your own lounge to sit and enjoy your fire at night. There is nothing better than getting cosy by the fire and watching a movie, its a home away from home. Having your own kitchenette is also great and a breakfast basket is delivered before Robert offers an amazing cooked breakfast, suppassing all expectation! The hosts are wonderful - Robert and Jenny - they built and have created such a wonderful home to share with people from all over the world, over the past 20 years. Its no wonder its so popular with so many returning guests such as myself. Thank you Robert and Jenny for such a wonderful time every time i stay and I look forward to the next time we get the opportunity to spend some time at Kemeys.
