Good value but probably due to renovations
Seesteeon 30/08/2017 11:46Stayed here for a long weekend in Berlin. Part of the lobby was boarded up (but we were told it would finish a couple of days after we left and we could see the new reception desk was in place.
The rooms are quite dated, decor was maybe 30 years old. However it was comfortable and fairly quiet. The air con was a bit noisy though. Bathroom was a decent size with a full bath and the shower in the bath, so people with mobility problems might struggle to get in and out. Great pressure from the shower.
There is a small pool areas which I used once and was just adequate.
We did eat a number of times at the Reinhards cafe/bistro. The food is good and the location is excellent for people watching. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location is good. There's a u-bahn station right out front and round the corner we discovered a lovely little neighbourhood around Savignyplatz with restaurants and coffee shops.
I think they have a general renovation programme as we noticed they were working on some rooms.
Would definitely stay again.

siskomacon 30/08/2017 07:06What an amazing hotel. My review is late but had to write. We were there for three weeks on June 2016. Our flight was late and didn't arrive till midnight. All the staff were so helpful gerting our bags and helping my granddaughter who was very sleepy het to our rooms. Our room was large and very comfortable. Beds were amazing. I cant complain about anything except the Wi-Fi. Slow. We enjoyed this hotel and the area so much we are returning for two and a half weeks in December for Christmas and New Years. So looking forward to our visit to the Kempinski and their fabulous city

dicknidaon 28/08/2017 21:09This is a grand old hotel with lovely large comfortable rooms, and a delightful corner restaurant with outdoor seating. It is in an excellent location on a main street (Ku'dam) just a couple of blocks from many important sites , the KaDeWe and the famous Berlin Zoo.

The hotel is very close to a variety of restaurants, shops and the public transportation. The staff where always polite and helpful. The best of all was the Breakfast Buffet, which had a great selection of items. Would recommend this Hotel!

aus_greggon 24/08/2017 19:37Great place to stay near the zoo gardens rail station. Rooms were great as was the service. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby. Well looked after. I wouls recommend this as very convient to transport and well presented hotel
