Our happy stay at Kencess Inn- Chennai
subbaiahnv9on 05/02/2017 09:55We checked in the hotel in second week of January 17 and stayed for 3 days. Excellent service and neatly maintained with great care to customers. Though the hotel doesnt have the kitchen, still got us the Very tasty south Indian traditional break fast from the near by restaurant.
The room was very spacious and all the three days , the hotel cleaned the room and maintained a neat atmosphere.
enjoyed our stay and Happy to come back.
Mosquitos much
spike aon 15/03/2015 10:10Nice hotel, except for the mosquitoes. Stayed in the suite room and was disappointed by the amount of mosquitoes. They should put in some all out / mosquito repellent. Otherwise its a nice place. Has 10 Downing street and some other shops n restaurants close by. The manager, the staff and the the room boys were all very helpful.
Mind the budget
Gavin2009on 15/01/2015 06:12At the middle of North Boagh road, close to Pondy Bazaar, this hotel is very popular as no 10 Downing Street club. Couples enter club free singles charged 1000 Indian rupees, Just a small reception counter manned until about midnight, approx 12 rooms and the whole place is looked after by two small boys who are very helpful and humble, ask for soap, towel, etc at check-in, rooms are spacious but needs a lot of maintenance of walls, toilet fittings must be replaced, hot water OK, ensure you have the mosquito repellent machine working, air-conditioning good, it's recommend to anyone with a budget, good location central in T Nagar, some shopping malls close by Globas, Big Bazaar, Pondy Bazaar, etc..
Head there if u dont find any other place to crash!
Kalyan_Royon 10/04/2013 08:50I had checked into this place overnight to catch a morning flight out from Chennai. I was greeted by a dimly lit room with a damp smell. There were roaches on the tables and in the bathroom. the linen in the bathroom was dirty and yellowed. No toiletries were provided and there was no hot water as well. There are hardly any people to keep this place running and room service too is very delayed.
One word - Avoid!!
Head here to crash
MyHighwayon 16/12/2012 21:54Yeah. Have all the fun from downstairs, 10 Downing Street, drink, drink and eat all that yummy food and try crawling one floor up to a rather gloomy but well kept big room. Expect not much of service as there are just a couple of boys running errands. No bed coffee can be expected even if requested. The staff seems to be taken off from some cheap lodge with no smiles or expression. But then, you can go take a good sleep if drunk and luxury doesn't matter.
