Quintessential New England, Wonderful Hosts and (Of Course!) Breakfast!
dflann2017on 15/08/2017 20:03My family of four loved staying here. We had never been to Freeport and were really looking forward to it. Upon arrival, we were greeted so well by Mark and Nancy. We and our two young daughter in particular, were made aware of warm chocolate cookies that were coming and the coffee and water that was available in the common living area. We found our room (the London Room) and had an enormous comfortable bed. Our older daughter got a nice twin bed in an alcove area (which she loved). Our youngest enjoyed her more than comfortable mattress. All the bedding was, of course, LL Bean! The rooms were clean, up to date and well maintained. It was quiet, yet sociable at breakfast as people greet one another the way you might expect in a B&B.
The real clincher of course is the wonderful breakfasts and Mark's great sense of humor as he brings you your courses. Food in drink were plenty in supply and it was the perfect New England experience. The yellow historic house you see in the photos lives up without question to what you feel while staying there.
This was my first B&B and I will definitely be back in the future. I highly recommend it.
Charming
ronnierenon 15/08/2017 19:23We enjoyed our stay at the Kendall Tavern. It's a convenient location to the center of town but not too close, making it a peaceful, quiet stay. It's a very charming inn. The rooms were clean, quaint and comfortable....our bed was very comfortable! Nancy and Mark were very kind, gracious hosts.
Fabulous first B&B experience!
Jamie Bon 15/08/2017 01:25My husband, daughter, and I stayed at the Kendall Tavern Inn Bed and Breakfast from 8/11-8/13. We'd never stayed at a B&B before so we weren't exactly sure of what the experience would be like. What we got was well above our expectations! The rooms are eclectic and cozy and Marc and Nancy could not have been more personable and accommodating. From our "surprise strict dietary restrictions" (so sorry Nancy, that was my fault as I said I'd contact you and got so busy I'd forgotten) to our chatting and game nights in the parlor with our friends we'd come up with, we could not have had a better experience! Thank you again and we look forward to staying with you in the future!
(Attaching pictures of our New Orleans themed room, please excuse our luggage scattered about lol.)
Overnight getaway
Bill Pon 14/08/2017 02:18Everything was great. Wonderful & thoughtful hosts. Thanks for a great experience; fun conversation; excellent breakfast. We had knowledgeable information available about the area. Good location---walkable to downtown shops and restaurants.
Fabulous Stay
kbuntingon 03/08/2017 01:34We really enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts, Mark and Nancy. The setting was relaxed and the room was clean and well appointed. Mark was full of entertaining stories and responsive to all our requests. Nancy is a fantastic chef, the breakfast, waffles, sausage, homemade biscuits and jelly were very fulfilling. You can't go wrong spending a night or more on your next visit to Freeport and LL Bean.
